Rose gasped, leaning her forehead against the tiles, the cool surface a stark contrast to the inferno raging inside her. She cradled her face in her hands, her fingers digging into her temples as if to physically push the thoughts away. But the voice persisted, weaving a tapestry of desire and illicit fantasy. She saw Jeffrey's apartment building, the flickering neon sign of the bar across the street, his porch light casting a warm, inviting glow.
The voice was right. She did want it. Every fiber of her being screamed for it. And the shower, far from washing away the desire, had only purified and intensified it, stripping away every last shred of doubt and restraint. The cold water might have failed to cool her body, but it had ignited a burning clarity in her mind. The decision, she realized with a shudder that had nothing to do with the temperature, had already been made.
The last embers of the day had long since faded, leaving Jeffrey’s room cloaked in a velvet darkness, broken only by the faint glow of the streetlamp outside. He lay sprawled, a sheet tangled around his legs, deep in the heavy, unburdened sleep that only truly comes after a long, productive day. The house was quiet, save for the rhythmic hum of the refrigerator from downstairs.
Then, a subtle sound, a soft, almost imperceptible creak, shattered the stillness. Jeffrey’s eyes fluttered open, his mind still muddled with dreams. He blinked, trying to discern the shadows from reality. "What? Rose, is that you?" His voice was thick with sleep, a low rumble against the quiet.
A figure stood silhouetted in the doorway, framed by the faint light filtering from the hallway. Her outline was undeniably Rose's, but something was different. She was motionless for a moment, then a soft, ragged breath reached him. "Yes," she said, her voice a husky whisper, "it's me."
Jeffrey pushed himself up onto an elbow, his eyes trying to adjust to the dimness. "Rose, what is it? Is everything alright?" He started to push the sheet aside, a vague concern beginning to form.
Without a word, Rose took a step, then another, moving with a deliberate, almost predatory grace. The faint light from the hallway caught the sheen on her skin as she advanced, a glistening, wet luminosity that sent a jolt through Jeffrey. She wasn't just standing; she was dripping. The air itself seemed to thicken with a scent he couldn't quite place – something fresh, like rain, but also warm, intoxicating.
She reached the bed, her movements slow, tantalizing. One knee pressed into the mattress, then another, and she began to crawl, pulling herself towards him. As she neared, his eyes, finally adjusting, registered the impossible. Her hair was slicked back, plastered to her forehead, and her body. naked. Every curve, every line, a testament to her raw, unadorned beauty, glistening with moisture.
"What? What is this?" he stammered, his earlier concern dissolving into a potent mixture of shock and burgeoning desire. His heart began to hammer against his ribs, a frantic rhythm that echoed the sudden rush of heat through his veins.
Rose leaned in close, her breath warm against his ear, smelling faintly of clean water and something wild. Her body pressed against his side, cool and damp, sending shivers through him. "What you’ve always wanted, babe," she whispered, her voice a low purr that vibrated through his very bones. "Tonight, I'm Angela, the next door neighbor."
A gasp escaped Jeffrey’s lips as her words ignited a hidden fantasy, a forbidden longing he’d only ever dared to entertain in the darkest corners of his mind. Angela, with her captivating laugh and the way she always seemed to catch his eye. Rose’s hand, cool and firm, slid over his chest, down his stomach, confirming that this was no dream. The air crackled with anticipation, promising a night where boundaries blurred and desires reigned supreme
