As the pole turns

Bambi never thought she’d be in this position. Here she was on her 18th birthday auditioning for a strip club. With $8.36 in her bank account she wasn’t trying to complain.

She hasn’t ate in almost 3 days. She was starving ! She could smell a warm crispy chicken being fried in the distance. “ They must have a kitchen” she thought to herself. Oh! how she was craving almost anything to eat, she’s been saving up for a 10 way bus ticket.

Not really sure if she’s even going to get in. Bambi was a beautiful girl, almond shaped eyes, small nose, pouty lips, ebony glazed skin equipped with a tall petite figure. She wasn’t as confident as she needed to be, horrible job choice.

She was here with her new friend Jamie, they met on Tinder ( classy right ) and since then they’ve been BFFS. Jamie was also a beautiful girl, almond shaped eyes, wide nose, Cupid’s bow shaped lips, coffee painted skin & also petite but short figure. Jamie was a “ retired “ exotic dancer as she liked to be referred. Her mother caught her dancing once and almost chopped her head off.

Bambi was waiting for the manager to come from the back office so she could “ audition “. She was sweating through her hip hugging sequined dress She squeezed on 2 hours before. She had on loads on makeup, more than she’s ever worn in life. Her eyes are dark brown almost black even, but tonight they gleamed a beautiful hazel green. She was definitely feeling out of place. Hoping the manger would fly out the door any second.

“ Finally ! There he is ! “ Jamie whispered. I looked up from my phone and saw what looked to be a middle aged man. He was dressed nicely, had on a navy blue blazer to match his sparking blue eyes. He had silver hair slicked down his neck and looked to be about 6’1. He walked over to us. Bambi’s heart dropped !

He warmly greeted Jamie with a big grin “ Long time no see huh ? “. She flashed a flirty smile back, “ Oh never ! I came by to bless you with a new girl “, she then pointed to Bambi. “I’m Bambi “, she said with the lowest voice possible. “ Her name is Bambi “, Jamie interfered with a powerful voice. How embarrassing !

The manager didn’t seem to notice as he greeted Bambi with a charming smile and introduced himself as “ Benny “. Benny looked her up and down and then asked her to turn around. Bambi turned around slowly feeling like busting out laughing, never would she ever ever ever thought she’s be doing this on her 18th birthday !

He asked her if she had her social security card and drivers license. Bambi quickly handed them over, “ Was this the big audition “ she thought to herself. Why did She stay up all night practicing how to twerk on her knees and dance to any 3 point beat. But she was just relieved she didn’t have to do any pole tricks because the dancer earlier looked like she belonged in a music video.

Bambi didn’t realize how in her thoughts she was until Jamie tapped her shoulder telling her to come to the back with Benny. She followed directions and went to the back.

There were cameras almost everywhere in the room she entered. She was able to see the dressing room where she saw over 15 different girls talking and getting dressed. Her stomach felt queasy, this didn’t feel like a place you’d want to make friends.

Still in her head, Benny was explaining to her the rules and regulations of becoming a independent entertainer. She was barely paying attention. She nodded Yes and walked back to the main lobby with Benny and Jamie.

He handed back her social and license and told her when she’d be starting. She finally snapped out of her mind trance when she heard him say “ Can’t wait to see you babe “. Jamie jumped up and down, gave me a small hug and then gave Benny a small hug. She seems more excited than Bambi. Bambi shook Benny’s hand and thanked him for the opportunity. She cringed and thought sarcastically , “ The opportunity to be a stripper, how sweet! “

Jamie waved her back into focused and chirped “ Are you ready to make money Bitch tomorrow night ?!” “

“ Tomorrow night ?!” Bambi exclaimed ! How could she have agreed to start to soon ! She just really needed the money ! Little did she know how quickly her life was about to change.
