A challenge from Heather, like a Hallmark card, a pleasure

Dearest Heather,

I'm so glad to finally hear from you. I was hoping to have heard from you sooner, and was a bit surprised you didn't mention my previous call to you.

Well, the call I placed to you from my holding cell, here at the police station, in Kalamazoo. I was able to retrieve your number from my jeans pocket, just minutes before, they made me don this orange jumpsuit.

Let me explain...

I'm afraid I took your, "where the bodies are buried," comment, quite literally. and well, unbeknownst to me...when I left a voicemail, on your cellular device, it was apprehended, no wait...that's not the word I'm looking for. It was confiscated, no... apprehended?

Crap, I can't think of the word I mean, but anyway, I'm sure you get the gist. The police heard it first, and followed the directions meant "for your eyes only," uncovering the bodies I intended you to help me "get rid of."

Too late for that now, I simply wanted you to know that I have no hard feelings, at all, and I deeply appreciated the gesture.

I will reach out to you soon, filling you in on my upcoming cavity search.

All my best

Your friend,

K
