Ugly bride

Once upon a time there was an old man. After his wife died, he left him a son and a daughter. The family loved each other and lived in harmony. A few years later, the old man married a widow.

The widow brought a daughter, just like her, ugly and bad. Since the old man married the widow into this house, the whole family has not lived a day in peace.

The old man's son thought: I'd better go out and earn my own food! So he began to wander around, and finally came to the king's palace to be an apprentice to a coachman. He was very satisfied with the work, and worked hard. The horses were fed strong by him, and they were brushed clean, and their coats were more oily and shiny than before.

His sister was abused at home, and the stepmother and the sister brought by her stepmother often bullied her, and no matter where she went or what she did, they always scolded her at the throat, leaving the poor girl with no peace. The stepmother forced her to do all the heavy work at home, and from morning to night she got nothing but a little bread.

One day, her stepmother asked her to fetch water, but no one thought she saw anything. It turned out that a very ugly head suddenly stuck out of the pond, and it said, "Girl, wash my hair!" "Well, I will definitely wash it for you." The girl said.

So she started washing the ugly head, and dried it after washing it.

However, when she had just washed this ugly head, suddenly, another head stuck out of the water, and this head was uglier than the first.

It said, "Girl, brush my hair!" "Well, I'll definitely wash it for you." So she picked up the wool brush and washed the head carefully. You can imagine how reluctant she was to do this work!

As she was about to wash the second head, the third head stuck out of the pond again, and this one was uglier than those two.

"Miss, kiss me!" "Okay, I'll kiss you!" the girl said.

She thought it was probably the dirtiest job she'd ever done in her life, but she kissed it anyway.

The three heads got together and discussed, how should I repay this gentle and kind girl?

The first head said: "She should be the most beautiful girl in the world, as beautiful as the clear sky." The second head said: "When she combs her hair every day, gold will fall from her hair." The third head said: "Whenever she speaks, gold will come out of her mouth." So when the girl came home, like the clear sky, she looked very beautiful and lovely.

The stepmother and the sister brought by the stepmother were furious when they saw her become so beautiful. When they saw that when she opened her mouth and a lot of gold coins fell from her mouth, they were even more furious. The stepmother understood what had happened. She didn't want to let the girl into the room again, and she didn't want to hear the girl's voice again, so she drove the girl into the pigsty like crazy.

However, after a while, the stepmother let her own daughter go to the pond to fetch water.

As she walked to the pond with the bucket, the first head stuck out.

It said, "Girl, wash my hair!" "The devil will wash your hair!" she said.

The second head sticks out again.

It said, "Girl, brush my head!" "The devil will brush your head!" she said.

So, the head sank to the bottom. Then, the third head slammed out of the water.

"Girl, kiss me!" said the head.

"The devil is going to kiss you, you pig mouth!" The daughter brought by the stepmother said.

The three heads came together again and discussed. They figured out how to punish the bad-hearted and bad-tempered girl. At last, they decided to give her a four-inch nose and a three-inch pig mouth, and a cluster of pine trees in the middle of her forehead, and whenever she spoke, her mouth would spit out dirty ash.

When she came home with the bucket, she shouted to her mother:

"Mom, open the door!" "Dear baby, open it yourself!" said the mother.

"Ah, no, my nose keeps me from reaching the door!" The stepmother came out of the house and saw her dear daughter moaning in pain, funny and ridiculous, but no matter how much she cried, the pine tree on her nose, mouth and forehead would never change because of her grief.

Now, come and see the boy! He worked in the king's stable. He missed his sister so much that he drew a picture of her, which he always carried with him, and every morning and night he knelt in front of the picture and prayed to God for her. When the other coachmen heard about it, they peeked at the key hole in his room.

When they saw that the young man really knelt before his sister's statue every morning and night and prayed, they ran to the king and asked him to take a look too.

At first, the king didn't believe it, but the coachmen told him again and again, and he decided to see it for himself. He stood on tiptoe, quietly walked to the boy's door, and looked in through the key hole. Sure enough, there was a portrait on the wall, and the boy knelt in front of the statue and prayed with his hands folded.

The king shouted loudly, but the boy was immersed in prayer and still did not hear.

"Open the door! I said, open the door!" The king shouted angrily, "I am the king! Let me in!" The boy was taken aback when he heard the king's cry, jumped up and hurried to open the door. In his hurry, he forgot to hide his sister's portrait.

The king went into the house and saw the picture. His feet seemed to be tied and he could not walk because he felt that the picture was so beautiful!

"There is nothing in the world more beautiful than her!" said the king.

The boy told the king that the girl in the picture was his sister, and although she was no more beautiful than the picture, she was by no means ugly.

"Well, if she is so lovely," said the king, "I will marry her as queen." Then the king ordered the young man to go home quickly and did not allow him to waste time on the road. So the young man agreed to the king's request and left the king's palace.

When the boy came home to pick up his sister, his stepmother and the sister brought by his stepmother had to go with them. So they went on their way together. The beautiful girl had a small jewelry box with her gold in it. She also had a puppy named Little Flo. Both of these things were left to her by the girl's mother. As they walked, a lake appeared in front of them, blocking the way. So they found a boat, with the older brother at the helm, and the stepmother and the two girls sitting in the front cabin. They traveled far and far in the boat, and finally, they saw land.

The older brother said, "Look, over there on the shore, that's where we're going." When he said this, the boat was moving in the wind. So his sister sat in the front cabin and didn't hear a word.

"Brother, what did you say?" the beautiful girl asked.

"He said you have to throw the jewelry box into the water," the stepmother said.

"Okay! No matter what my brother says, I will do as he says," the girl said, throwing the jewelry box into the water.

Their boat continued to go forward, and the brother readjusted the course and let the boat go to the lake, saying:

"Did you see that castle? We're going there!" "Brother, what are you talking about?" the girl asked.

"He said you have to throw your puppy into the water right away!" the stepmother said.

The girl cried sadly because the puppy was her favorite thing in the world, but she threw it into the water anyway.

"Whenever my brother says something, I have to do what he says. But I really don't know why my brother pierced my heart and made me throw you away, my dear puppy." she said.

They sailed on for a long time.

"Look, the king is here, he's here to greet us!" The elder brother said as he adjusted the direction of the sail.

"Brother, what are you talking about?" the girl asked.

"He said you have to jump out of the boat now," the stepmother said.

When the girl heard this, she cried sadly, but she felt that no matter what her brother asked her to do, she had to do as he said. So the girl jumped into the lake.

The boat came to the shore, the beautiful girl had jumped into the lake and died, and the king saw a disgusting girl. She had a four-inch nose and a three-inch pig's mouth, and a cluster of pine trees and trees grew on her forehead. The king saw the girl and was terrified to death, but the wedding was ready, the toast was ready, the wine was brewed... it was all for the wedding. There was nothing the king could do at this time. He could not get rid of the bride, but had to marry the ugly bride. The king was very angry, and he thought that he must not let anyone deceive him casually. So he ordered the girl's brother to be thrown into a pit full of poisonous snakes.

On the night of the first Thursday after the wedding, about midnight, a very lovely girl came into the kitchen. A beautiful female cook was sleeping in the kitchen, and the girl begged the female cook to lend her a comb. The female cook lent her the comb, and the girl began to comb her hair, and every time she did it, gold fell from her hair. At the girl's feet, lying on her back, lay a puppy, and she said to the puppy:

"Puppy, go out and take a look, is it almost dawn?" She said this sentence to the puppy three times. When the girl sent the puppy out to take a look for the third time, it was just dawn.

She got up and walked away, singing as she walked:

"Come out, hideous bride, when I slept on the sand and stones, when my brother faced death among the snakes, I cried and couldn't hold back my tears, and you lay warm beside the king." As the beautiful girl left, she said: "I'll come twice, and I'll never come again!" The next morning, the cook told the king everything she had seen and heard. The king said he must go to the kitchen the next Thursday to see for himself. On the evening of the second Thursday, it was dark, and the king went into the cook's kitchen, where he waited for the lovely girl to arrive. He rubbed his eyes hard, trying to drive away the drowsiness, but this was not a good way, because the ugly bride kept singing beside the king until the king closed his eyes. At this moment, the beautiful girl came, but the king fell asleep and snored. Like last time, the girl borrowed a comb and brushed her hair, and gold fell from her hair. She let her puppy out three times, and after a while, the sky turned gray. As she left, the girl sang the same song as last time, and said, "I can only do it again, and I can't come again!" On the night of the third Thursday, the king was to wait on the beautiful girl again. He asked two soldiers to grab his arm and shake him gently if he fell asleep. The king also sent two soldiers to watch over the ugly bride. When night came, the ugly bride began to sing again and again, the king's eyes began to doze again, and his head fell on his shoulders. Then the beautiful girl came in, she got a comb, and began to comb her hair until the gold fell, and then she sent the puppy out to see if it was about to dawn. Three times in a row, the east began to turn gray, and the beautiful girl sang:

"Come out, ugly bride, when I slept on the sand and stones, when my brother faced death among the snakes, I cried my tears and couldn't hold back my heartbreak, while you lay warmly beside the king." "Now that I'm gone, I can never come again!" The beautiful girl said as she walked towards the door.

At this time, the two soldiers grabbed the king's arm and shook it vigorously together, but the king still did not wake up. In order not to let the beautiful girl go, the soldiers took a knife and put it in the king's clenched hand. They grabbed the king's hand and cut the girl's little finger. The girl's finger was bleeding, the real bride came back to life, and the king woke up. The beautiful girl told the king everything that had happened, and the king immediately sent someone to release the girl's brother from the pit of poisonous snakes. Fortunately, the poisonous snake had not hurt him. The beautiful girl told the king how the stepmother and the sister brought by the stepmother had deceived her. So the king ordered that her stepmother and the ugly bride be thrown into the pit of vipers.

How happy the king was now that he not only got rid of the ugly bride, but also got a beautiful and lovely girl. The real wedding took place! The people of the seven surrounding kingdoms came to attend the grand wedding. The king and the beautiful bride got into the four-wheeled carriage and drove towards the church like flying.

The cute puppy was also with them. When they received the blessing, they quickly returned to the palace and lived a happy life that everyone envied.
