As Jane sat in the coffee shop and was finishing her pumpkin spice latte' she still pondered on what had just happened. Jane still didn't want to get her hopes up and believe that Jessica was possibly interested in her. Jane heard a Green Day song entitled 'I'm Still Breathing' start to play on the stereo as she drank the last couple sips of her coffee, so she listened. After the song ended she left and thought of the wise words of the lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong. The lead singer was always there to comfort her and relax her mentally. Jane then proceeded to leave Sip n' Chill and walked down the street. She looked at the paper Jessica had handed to her and felt emotions of bliss. She felt it was almost a dream come true. She stared at Jessica's handwriting and told herself to just play it cool and go home to think. Jane went home, sat on the coach, had a monster and looked at the page Jane had ripped out of her journal. Jane decided to wait some time to call.

Jane continued on with her life as usual the next couples days as she went to work at the Music Studio and helped young vocalists learn the fundamentals of voice. Jane taught vocal lessons to younger artists. She wrote songs for fun and sometimes played her guitar at open mic nights. Jane always felt an emptiness until she wrote a song. Songwriting was how she escaped the world. Jane went on with her nine to five routine throughout the week still hoping for more in her life. As Friday arrived and her shift ended, Jane took a deep breath and called the number that Jane had given to her. In her head she thought it was probably just a fake phone number and Jane was probably just being polite and as the phone continued to ring Jane got anxious. Then on the other line of the phone Jane heard a, "Hello, who is this?" Jessica had answered the phone! She recognized her calming voice from Sip n' Chill! Jane replied, "Hi is this Jesssica?" Jessica said, "Yes it is, who is this?" Jane said, "I don't know if you remember me but, it's me Jane from the coffee shop, Sip n' Chill?" Jessica replied in a happy tone, "Oh yes I remember you! The friendly alternative girl with the pumpkin spice latte'!" Jane chuckled and said, "Yeah that's me."

Jessica said, "I still want to get to know you better." Jane replied, "I would love to hang out sometime." Jessica said, "How is tomorrow night?" Jane said, "Sure where do you want to go?" Jessica said, "I was thinking the local bar Smokin' Joe's, I love to go there!" Jane replied, "Okay cool I can't wait to see you again and get to know you better Jessica!" Jessica replied, "Same, I love meeting new people!" Jane replied, "I'll even buy you a drink Jessica!" Jessica then said, "Okay is 8pm good?" Jane said, "Yes of course!" Jane and Jessica then ended their phone call as Jane smiled. Jane couldn't believe what may be happening. She was excited and nervous at the same time! Jane pondered again on what she spoke to Jessica about and wondered if this was a friendship or something more beginning. Jane took a deep breath and told herself she'd have to keep it cool and wait to find out. Either way Jane was excited to see Jessica again.
