Age Is Just A Number
As we grow up I feel we are taught this concept to be with a significant other who is in our age group. We are also taught to mature and act our age. What if someone else is able to mature faster than others? Than this person probably should not date in their age group I would say. My husband's 48th birthday is today and it had me reflecting on this today. I am 24 and I may not be quite as mature as my husband but, I can say that I have never really related to others in my age group.

Raised By A Narcissist And An Empath
The definition of a narcissist is, "a person who has excessive interest in or admiration of themselves" so, this means they care about nothing and no one except themselves. On the other spectrum, the definition of an empath is, "a person with the paranormal ability to apprehend the mental or emotional state of another individual" so this means sometimes caring to much for others and not enough about themselves. Put the two together and add parenting and you get a complete disaster.

Suffering in Silence
Do you ever feel like you are screaming at the top of your lungs but, no one hears you? It is just as Rose said in Titanic, "I feel like I'm in the middle of a room screaming at the top of my lungs, and no one even looks up." That is depression. That is silent suffering. Two things lots of people do not seem to understand. Just because a person has friends, socializes and smiles does not automatically mean that they are happy. Maybe this person is dying on the inside and you just cannot see it. A person that has depression like this may have to force themselves to get out of bed in the morning whenever they feel like they just want to lay there and die.

Turquoise Moon: Part 3
Jane was excited to meet Jessica. She went on with her day as usual, but could not wait until Saturday at 8pm. Jessica texted Jane saying, "Hi I cannot wait to hang out with you!" and it brightened Jane's entire day. As the day went on Jane watched television and did her usual routine when she was off, watching shows like Rick and Morty, Futurama and Weeds. To calm her nerves down around 5pm Jane smoked a bowl and it relaxed her a lot. Finally, it was 7:45pm and Jane prepared herself to go meet Jessica at the bar Smokin' Joe's. Jane still could not believe this was happening. She was so excited, because this friendship could turn into more and was hoping such. Jane still had in the back of her head that this could be just a friendship and nothing more than that or a fling. She hoped for the news that Jessica and her boyfriend would not be working out so well.

Turquoise Moon: Part 2
As Jane sat in the coffee shop and was finishing her pumpkin spice latte' she still pondered on what had just happened. Jane still didn't want to get her hopes up and believe that Jessica was possibly interested in her. Jane heard a Green Day song entitled 'I'm Still Breathing' start to play on the stereo as she drank the last couple sips of her coffee, so she listened. After the song ended she left and thought of the wise words of the lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong. The lead singer was always there to comfort her and relax her mentally. Jane then proceeded to leave Sip n' Chill and walked down the street. She looked at the paper Jessica had handed to her and felt emotions of bliss. She felt it was almost a dream come true. She stared at Jessica's handwriting and told herself to just play it cool and go home to think. Jane went home, sat on the coach, had a monster and looked at the page Jane had ripped out of her journal. Jane decided to wait some time to call.

Turquoise Moon: Part 1
It was a rainy, Autumn Saturday morning as Jane walked to the local coffee shop Sip n' Chill. Jane was wearing her favorite Green Day band tee with her new skinny jeans and vans. Jane then approached the front door of the coffee shop and went inside. She ordered her favorite Fall drink, a pumpkin spice latte' and sat down in the corner by herself. She was just on Facebook talking to friends and listening to The Red Hot Chili Peppers and then she looked up and someone caught her attention. A beautiful woman around her age had walked in alone as well and Jane overheard her order the same drink, a pumpkin spice latte'. The other woman sat a table away from Jane so, Jane being the outgoing woman she is decided this was her opportunity to make a new friend.

You And Your Child
Many people with a history of mental health issues in their family might be worried about their child's mental health. Even an adult who grew up in a domestically violent situation may worry about their child's mental health. They do not want what they went through to happen to their child and they want them to have a happy childhood. The answer to this is not by buying your child material items or "spoiling them", it is by treating them correctly and bonding with them.

Mental Health And Your Mind
Mental health is a topic that even in the year 2021 still makes people uncomfortable. Many people avoid this topic by changing the subject or telling a person, "Everything will be fine and you will be okay." Not saying that advice is not true but, many people dealing with a serious mental health issue need better guidance and advice than that. In recent years, people have thankfully begun to take mental health more seriously. In this article I will be talking about mental health and how to heal your mind.

Happy, Happy Birthday To Me
For most people a birthday is a time for celebration and happiness but, for others not so much. Is it a bad thing that I just look at my birthday every year as another year closer to dying? I know it sounds depressing but, it is very true. My feelings of my birthday started to get more like this quite recently. As of May 29th 2019, about a week before my birthday my son's father Nick died. That really took a huge hole out of my heart and the space is still there and has yet to be filled. Sadly, to make matters worse his Mother Renee passed away on October 29, 2020. I get even more upset around my birthday now because, Renee's birthday was June 16, 1966! I miss her so much and think of her constantly. Renee was like a second Mother to me.

Cruella 2021 Review
Cruella the 2021 film based off the main protagonist from the popular Disney 101 Dalmatian franchise was released last Friday May 28 in theaters or for premier access on Disney+. This movie tells the backstory of Cruella, where she came from and how things led to become what they did. I am a huge fan of Cruella De Vil and I actually dressed up as her for Halloween in 2020. So of course I bought the film on Disney+ with the premier access. I had been waiting forever to see it and it was well worth the wait! This article will include spoilers so if you have not seen the film yet please do not read further.
