Gadot looked at the monitor. Her gaze sharpened on the figures.

“We should clear eight hundred thousand dollars by next week,” she said.

“Are we still having problems with the network?” Myson asked.

“Yes, they still persist,” she replied.

“What we’re going to have to do is get the developers in a room and figure out the bugs. Once we do this, we should be able to attract more patrons to the site. The algorithm will keep the site on a freemium level. Whoever wants to get bonus content and materials can sign up and pay $100 a year for our services,” Myson explained.

“Sounds great. I just feel a way about the developers. They are still tied to Cooney. You don’t think—”

“I know for certain these youngsters are above board. I know all of their files, they would’ve joined up with the teachers if they had known about our little cabal,” Myson reassured.

“I don’t know. I hear you talking, but I just have misgivings about the intentions of the students. Sure, they’re great developers, but are they also delivering important details to the Board regarding our network?”

Myson placed his hands on Gadot’s shoulders. “I’m glad you're looking for holes in the system, but you don’t have to worry. In time, you’ll see the truth behind all of this. No one will disrupt what we’ve built.”

They had been standing in an adjacent room in the apartment. As they walked out of the room, they noticed the developers had not moved from their stations. Caffeinated sodas sat on a table adjacent to the bay of computers. The work of each of the students astonished the couple. Myson signaled the alarm. The developers snapped to attention. Two of them still worked to keep the machine rolling.

“I know you want to keep going. I’ll keep this short. Whoever here wants to leave the team stand to the left where the carpeted area is. Those of you who wish to stay on, stay where you are and continue to write history.” No one crossed over to the carpeting. “That’s what I thought. There will be no mutiny on this ship. This school will be the reason we will be able to nurture and feed the minds of the students. All of you are valuable assets to this company. You are appreciated. Let’s stay unstoppable,” Myson said and allowed his workers to resume their labor.

Gadot cracked the first smile she had shown in days.

“See? We have nothing to make us fret. Our team is strong,” Myson asserted.

“I can see what you’re saying, now. We’re going to be okay.”

“I want you to actually believe your words,” Myson replied. “I detect doubt,” he replied.

Gadot looked into Myson’s eyes. “I’m completely confident in this outfit. Our people are the best. If they despise the crits as much as we do, then we should be able to not only defeat CRT but advance objective learning.”

“That’s right,” Myson replied. “That was our whole purpose in all this was it not? They still think group rights are a thing. Seriously. They have no basis in individual rights. Their agenda is worse than just trying to change history. They want to degrade America and Americans who still know this country stands for—“

“Reason, individualism, and capitalism,” Gadot finished his thought.

“Exactly.”

Gadot said, “Where this should go is to the forefront of all the online schools in America and around the world. We have the chance to be leaders in the field. If the crits want to take our position, let them try and get it,” she replied.
