The Vault

Details Matter

I made my way towards the center of the structure. Noticing the intricate security measures protecting the innermost part of the building - the vault. The vault held my most prized possession.

I reflected on the extensive planning process, and on the consultations with professionals, where we delved into the possibility of a contentious public response. The marketing team was ready for our upcoming launch.

Upon opening the door, the safe appeared to have been emptied. My assistant rushed in and exclaimed, "Have you witnessed the latest News Break?”. After more than five years of development, my brainchild finally made headlines, being presented with only minor tweaks to the original concept.

The individual who functioned as my guide, possessing knowledge of the concept, business strategy, and public relations approach, and who advised me to withhold disclosure to others for fear of idea theft, was now presenting my work as his own.

During the conclusion of his speech, he stated, “My strong attention to detail led me to conclude that thoroughly scrutinizing the specifics of this matter was integral to ensuring a secure implementation of the concept.”

My life's efforts had been stolen from me.
