Chloe quit the day job to work on her acting. She knew it was a risk, but on her last day, as she walked out of the office, she saw the most vivid rainbow in front of her. It had to be an omen.

Every passing week was worse than the last. She totted up rejections, received scathing reviews and felt utterly dejected.

Though she remembered the rainbow, she wanted her old job back. Then she discovered the day after she left, her replacement had been electrocuted from faulty wiring at that computer.

Chloe never stopped chasing rainbows after that.

Fun idea! It makes me think of the "I'm always chasing rainbows" song, as well as an idea of "the Tov": how sometimes bad things, are actually better than worse alternative.
