In the year seventeen-ten, the world almost came to an end

So listen here as we two tell the tale of how one lone soul

Rises above the evil one, forcing its knee to bend

In response to a love that flames a heart like a coal

So gather around, this fantastical story to attend

As we repeat, word for word, just as we were told

On the twelfth day of the Hangman’s Month, on the eve of the Deadman’s Moon

Lord Byron Bisnifagus sat stirring a cup of lemony, licorice tea with his spoon

He once again studied the spell he wanted, reading each line with care

Checking his magical supplies, making sure his needs were all there.

He needed to pick the final ingredient; he had no time to waste

This part of the ritual, though, he had little taste

So taking a puff of air

He finally took the dare

To the cemetery he went, looking for a fresher grave to dig

For courage, he took along his home brew for swigs

Finding the grave that he wanted, he sat out to wait for 12 midnight

If he were to rule, on the thirteenth, he had to begin under the full moon’s light

For the prophecy did say that the one who shall rule over all

Shall rise in a day, and in his rebirth shall not take a fall

Banishing the evil, bringing about the good

All this the Magician had read and understood

He’d already created an undead army of bones

Bringing a kind of life to each and every one

It’s just missing its leader, raised by the Necromancer

The crazy Lord, that black art romancer

Part 2 Kelli:

**

A romancer at heart

and a scoundrel in nature

This black magic art

became just another wager

Of sin and of death

he held no real allegiance

Always baiting his breath

his intent egregious

Sitting atop that grave

to steal the fate of another

His bone army brave

he swore on the memory of his mother

That night in 1710

a true heart to rule over

He would have it again

as the ultimate controller

Catching lightning in a bottle

to mix in his tea

Though his foe would be hostile

he made this guarantee

Battling good and evil

in the heart of a man

As impossible as threading a needle

but he vowed to honor the plan

Will his goodness prevail

only midnight will tell

When the heart is for sale

on the outskirts of hell

Part 3 MC

**

With the stroke of midnight

Under the full moon’s light

Lord Bisnifagus began to open the grave

Dreaming of the power that he did crave

With his magical spell all set to go

A drop of February snow

A dragon’s claw

A fire moth’s jaw

The virgin’s silk

A cup of yak’s milk

Along with a pinch of marigold

Will bring about riches of gold

Mixed together with a copper spoon

on a Deadman’s Moon

He opened the casket he had unlocked

Using this potion he concocted

He dumped onto Robert Mackey’s corse

But life is never that easy, of course

Instead, in the dark, he’d picked the wrong plot

And now his fate would be a different lot

For the body he’d raised would be his end

This was the soul that would force him to bend

Unbeknownst to him, the die was cast

A new ruler would rule over all at last

But the Magician was a fool

He was now the tool

Of forces beyond his control

That have an ulterior goal

Blocking his bid to overtake the throne

The hero made of bone

Part 4 ~~ Kelli ~~

**

Robert Mackey was foul and fearsome

a criminal of ill intent

His crimes well told, brutal and gruesome

Lord Bisnifagus his new puppet

For under law of fate and moon

his new blood coarsed with evil deed

His last mistake would forcast doom

and the dead would have their feast

The internal battle left to ensue

would seal the deal at half past three

Blood mixed with the lasting brew

could set his spirit free

To win the war he'd have to die

but the curse could be removed

He called unto the witch's eye

to seal this dead man's tomb

Would his army come to rescue

or had they fallen to the spell

He'd have hell to go through

before the last of his brew fell

Would he outlast the midnight

a tale of true evil against good

Under the veil of moonlight

inside this evil corse he stood

Part Five MC

**

Instead of Colonel Robert Mackey,

He’d opened the Bastard’s, he surmised

Plus, he’d forgotten to learn the counterspell

The stricken Lord quickly realized

The Magician was royally fucked

If he didn’t come up with a plan

Backing up, trying to gain some space

He had to stop this evil from overtaking the land

Then the bone Pirate turned towards him

And with a sound coming from deep within a belly

Began to speak

Poor Byron’s legs turned to jelly

As he took his first wobbly step

The Bastard’s Skeleton began to teeter

Each forward movement became surer

The quivering Lord prayed to Saint Peter

To give him the strength he would need

So that he’d withstand to the Witching Hour

Surviving this Deadman’s Moon

Would require more than was in his power

Who else would come to his aid

In this cemetery, he was all alone

Even his Bone Army was no longer his to control

This was his mistake to atone

Part Six ~~ Kelli

**

The tainted blood swirled wildly

under the doomed Deadman’s moon

like a tornado tail spinning

that late evening in June

lightning flashed like a spotlight

Indirectly striking the bones

raising them into the skyline

every defense exposed

his mistakes danced before him

a reminder of his sins

any hope quickly dimming

as the clattering teeth formed a grin

the lord’s skeleton army

finally free from his grasp

heaven, please help me, he murmured

I command you, remember your task

you were revived with a purpose

my will becoming your own

I beg you, honor your service

and I will replace the flesh to your bones

with that they came to his rescue

honoring the pact that was made

under the spell of the moon

skin recreating their faces

freedom begs a price to be paid

but now, who holds the debt

hold on to your hats, lad's

this battle isn’t done yet

Part Seven ~~ MC

**

The moonlit battle had begun

Lord Bisnifagus braced himself for the fight

With his undead army back on his side

He could once again see the light

Hordes of his bone army

Threw themselves upon the dread Pirate

Only to be cast aside like garbage

The Necromancer wasn’t sure of his fate

Things were looking grim

His army was almost burned through

Stepping backwards, he stumbled and fell

As a last resort, he cast a spell of goo

The Evil that he’d raised would not be beaten

The Magician was running out of cards he could use

Suddenly, a musical voice could be heard

Turning to see, joining the fray, Sweet Luce

Whom he’d loved from afar

Somehow, she knew what was happening this night

And just when all the chips were down

She’d appeared when the timing was just right

Now, it would be two against one

There’d be a fighting chance

So rising back to his knees

The Lord stood back up in a fighter’s stance

PART 8 Kelli

**

They say dirty deeds are done dirt cheep

And hers came cheaper by the dozen

She lured him in, his power to keep

Leaving him with far worse than nothing

You see, all along the dread pirate and Luce

Masqueraded as fierce enemies

To tempt the duped magician into a duel

And bring his control to a final ending

The look on his face as the skeleton army

Sided with the bowels of evil

She smiled as she watched his eyes once fierce-some and starry

Drain to gray from her lips lined and lethal

They commanded his army to erect a pyre

And they burned him alive with a spell

That would bind him for eternity in the fire

That seal the powers of hell

Part Nine MC

**

As Lord Bisnifagus fell, he knew he was doomed

So with a loud curse, he damned the duo to hell

With a final cry cast to the heavens

He called upon the power of the Archangel, Michael

And as he drew his final breath

A bolt of white light shot down from the heavens

Striking the headstone directly beside him

Belonging to dear old Miss Belinda Evans

She who had been loved by all in her life

But carried a secret of power to her grave

For dear Miss Belinda was no ordinary gal

A witch to the nth degree, she knew just how to behave

Clothes hanging rottedly from her corpse

Flesh hanging from her nose and chin

And starting to shimmy-shimmy shim

She had a banishing spell to begin

For with her sightless eyes

She’d summed up the scene

She took it all in and added it up

For even in death, her mind was kind

With a voice that came from nowhere and everywhere

In an unknown language, she began to speak

With a scream, Luce and the Bastard began to quake

Attempting to run, but it was too late

Words began to form, floating around the duo pair

Swirling, creating a mist, the two had now met their fate

The Witch continued to chant

With an ill omen, a rooster crowed in the night

The Pirate and Luce fought back, but they began to float

With the colorful beams and bolts, the graveyard was a sight

The witch cackled one last time

Reaching out her hands, she sent out double streams of power

She knew she had won, as they melted into goo

For everyone knew, you didn’t mess with a witch in the Witching hour

Now this is the tale that was told to us two

We’ve repeated it word for word just for you

So even though this piece is through

Just know we plan another little duo

If you enjoyed our little rendition, tell us so

This is something we enjoy to do

Feel free to ask if you’d like to join in, also

We accept prompts, too
