Part 1:

As you probably can already concur, all Flower Inokori has wanted in life is sleep, food, and MAYBE a little action. So, of course, today was yet another fail at a lacksadaisy day.

Firstly, she had to get up early to do a (frankly laggy) Zoom call with her fractious manager, who seemed to have not only awoken on the wrong side of the bed, but ingested glass shards, found pee in his cereal, and fallen off a cliff. Naturally, Flower was exhausted after the various chastisements she'd gotten from such an annoyed character and ended up procrastinating the progress of writing her song due to her 1st aforementioned life goal.

She didn't find leisure in the day until her dearest friend (and somewhat of a mentor, as being 4 years older than her) Teto Kasane came to visit. They'd known each other since Flower was in middle school, and talked mainly through text, savoring all of the rare moments they could cross each other's paths.

Even nowadays, it was quite unprecedented for Teto to come over to due to the comparatively smaller time she could afford in matters of jest. But here she was, sitting atop of Flower's natural habitat-- the couch--, with the most erect posture one could accomplish while sitting. Her two pink pigtails even sat still, as if she was a robot waiting of activation.

"So, what brings you here?" Flower inquired.

"Oh!" Teto grinned. "I was going to talk to Rin Kagamine, who's supposedly staying in this complex. Do you know her?"

The former of the two sat in wonder, trying to remember all of the quirky tenants she had encountered. There was Fukase Owari, of course, who was her blunt, chaotically humored battle buddy; and his adopted child Oliver Dappleback, the outgoing, adventurous, self-proclaimed 10-year-old "man"...That was about all she knew of her neighbors. Of course, she had heard of Rin Kagamine, her songs Kokoro and Daughter of Evil were certified gold, but she didn't recall such a figure residing in such a homely apartment building.

"Uh, I've heard of her," Flower bit a nail. "But I'm not 'famous enough' to know her. And I doubt she lives here."

"Aw, man!" Teto exaggeratingly facepalmed. "I'm such a huge idiot!"

"Well, you can still stay for a bit, if you want," Flower suggested, not wanting her friend to escape her grasp that easily.

"Sure! How's life been?" Her friend laid dramatically on the couch, cradling her head in her hands.

"Pretty good. I hit a million subscribers on my singing channel the other day."

"Yayyyyy!" Teto exclaimed. "Yayyyy for the Flower! I forgot to ask after all these years, but what kind of flower do you think you'd be the most?"

Flower paused. "Erm, a black rose?"

"Nah, I think you'd be an Aster. It fits your color palette."

Tossing aside the fact the Flower had no idea what an Aster was, the two talked incessantly for 30 minutes, until Teto checked her watch, and admitted an extreme gasp.

"Oh gosh golly, I'm gonna be late for my date!"

"Wait, YOU'RE DATING?!"

"Yeah, with Akita Neru, silly! I thought I mentioned that, you weren't listening!" the visitor pinched her friend in the arm. "Me and her are literally soulmates..."

"Ah, well, have fun then!" Flower concluded as Teto hurried out the door, practically slamming it in her wake.

With this playful, uncommon visit, Flower decided to finally start writing her song, when she heard yet another knock on her door. Flower, believing that maybe Teto had forgotten something while she was stirring, willingly opened the door, to find a certain short British boy on his tiptoes, trying to look mighty and gallant.

Part 2:

"Hi, Miss Flower! Want to go on an adventure?"

"Adventure? Oliver, aren't you a little young for those?" Flower interrogated.

"I'm. not. YOUNG!" Oli disputed. "And Fukase lets me do this all the time, so yeah!"

"Ok, but where are we going?"

"To Piko-kun's apartment!" Oliver grinned.

"Ok, so, are you going to get lost again?" Was Flower's quip in response.

"No!"

"Lead the way then, m'lord."

Oliver sincerely appreciated such acknowledgment of his "true" masculinity and marched onward to the elevator leading downstairs.

It was a rickety little thing, with an infamy of being quite easy to break, and of being slower than the stairs; but the boy still hummed and buzzed fervently of his passion for elevators all the way down.

"Elevators are so cool, they're like portals to another dimension, and I have no idea how they work, but there must be magic because my best friend Kaai Yuki once said she SAW a part of the portal the elevator goes through to get to the place! So now, I always look for the portal, but I never get to see it! Have you ever seen the portal, Miss Flower?"

"Huh? Oh, erm, no???"

"Aw man, I thought there had to be someone else who's seen the portal! I wish- OH, we're here!"

Flower, all of the life drained out of her and seemingly sucking into the vessel of her partner of this escapade, stepped out of the elevator in quarter-zombie mode; Oliver came out shortly afterward and continued his dutiful march, glancing at the identical doors and numbered addresses surrounding them. This was until they came across a certain "598", and Oliver energetically knocked, for lack of a better word.

Oh, I got one, BANGED.

Flower smiled a bit at his iconic "Get out you lazyheads" knock, which elicited the attention of the door's owner, as it was swiftly opened.

"Yo! What brings you here?"

Flower realized the behind the door wasn't Piko, but it was Len Kagamine! The. LEN. KAGAMINE!
