The Mirror’s Secret
A Journey into the Unknown
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. What the hell? The reflection is a tiger.
My heart raced as I stared at the mirror in disbelief. I stumbled back, tripping over my own feet and crashing onto the floor. My eyes never left the mirror, watching as the tiger's reflection moved, its eyes meeting mine.
I scrambled to my feet, my heart pounding in my chest. I backed away from the mirror, fear taking hold of me. I had no explanation for what was happening. Was I hallucinating? Had I lost my mind?
The tiger in the mirror roared, its voice echoing through the room. I covered my ears, trying to block out the sound. The tiger's reflection moved again, as if it was trying to escape the mirror.
I couldn't take it anymore. I turned and ran out of the room, my feet pounding on the hardwood floor. I ran down the hallway, my mind racing with thoughts of what I had just seen.
I burst through the front door and ran outside, gasping for air. I collapsed onto the ground, my heart racing, my body shaking. I had never been so scared in my life.
I sat there for what felt like hours, trying to make sense of what had happened. Eventually, I got up and went back inside. I had to see if the tiger was still in the mirror.
I cautiously made my way back to the room where the mirror was, my heart racing. I approached the mirror slowly, my eyes never leaving its surface. And then I saw it. The tiger was still there, staring back at me.
I stumbled back, my mind racing. What was happening to me? Was I losing my mind? I couldn't take it anymore. I had to get out of that house.
I packed a bag and left, never looking back. I didn't tell anyone what had happened. I didn't want to be seen as crazy. But the image of the tiger in the mirror stayed with me, haunting me, reminding me of what I had experienced.
Years went by, and I had all but forgotten about the tiger in the mirror. I had moved on with my life, gotten married, and had children. But then, one day, I received a package in the mail. It was a small box, with no return address.
Curiosity got the better of me, and I opened the box. Inside, I found a mirror. It was an old mirror, with a wooden frame and a tarnished surface. But it was the reflection in the mirror that caught my attention.
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. It was the reflection of the tiger I had seen all those years ago. My heart raced as I stared at the mirror, trying to make sense of what was happening.
And then I heard it. The sound of the tiger's roar, coming from inside the mirror. I stumbled back, dropping the mirror on the ground. I could feel my heart racing, my breath coming in short gasps.
The tiger's reflection moved, its eyes meeting mine. And then it spoke.
"I've been waiting for you," the tiger said. Its voice was deep and guttural, sending chills down my spine.
I didn't know what to do. I couldn't run. I couldn't hide. I was frozen in place, staring at the tiger in the mirror.
And then it started to move. Its reflection stepped out of the mirror, its massive body filling the room. I stumbled back, trying to get away from it, but it was no use.
The tiger was real.
It stood in front of me, its eyes locked onto mine. I could feel its hot breath on my face, and I could see the sharp glint of its teeth.
But then something strange happened. The tiger spoke again, its voice softening.
"Do not be afraid," it said. "I have been waiting for you for a long time."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The tiger wasn't attacking me. It was speaking to me.
"What do you want?" I managed to ask, my voice trembling.
"I want to help you," the tiger said. "I have been sent to guide you, to show you the way."
"The way to what?" I asked, still not sure if I could trust this creature.
"The way to your destiny," the tiger said. "You have a great journey ahead of you, and I am here to help you."
I didn't know what to say. My mind was racing, trying to make sense of what was happening.
But then the tiger stepped forward and touched me with its paw. It was like an electric shock, and suddenly everything became clear.
I knew what I had to do. I had to follow the tiger, to trust it and let it guide me.
And so, I set out on a journey, with the tiger by my side. We traveled through forests and across deserts, through storms and across oceans. And all the while, the tiger guided me, showing me the way.
Years went by, and I grew older. But the tiger never aged. It was always there, by my side, helping me, guiding me.
And then, one day, we reached our destination. It was a beautiful place, full of light and color. And there, in the center of it all, was a throne.
The tiger stepped forward and bowed, and said “I’ll be your guardian forever”
I asked “Forever?
The Tiger answered “in this land you are immortal, your whole being is to be the Queen of this land. Your predecessor decided to leave the land and die a mortal's death. You were chosen before you were even born, to be the successor if needed, and now you are.
I got up from the throne and looked through a window, I was shocked to see a town with thousands of people in it, shopping, eating, just walking around.
One of the people looked up and saw me and got on his knees and bowed, others looking up at what he was looking at also bowed to me.
“You don’t have to bow.” I said “You are free people, I’m here to guide you and to help you”
Everyone around clapped and cheered. I looked at the tiger standing beside me “Now I understand, I promise to be a good leader and never take my destiny for granted. I’ll show the people love and compassion. I’ll help them grow just as you helped me.”
The tiger smiled and said “I know you will"
