Last Light On Earth

The world was ending, and there was nothing anyone could do to stop it. The sun had begun to flicker, growing dimmer and dimmer with each passing day. The sky had turned a sickly shade of green, and the air was thick with the stench of decay.

People tried to keep living their lives, but it was becoming increasingly difficult. Crops were failing, animals were dying, and the temperature was dropping rapidly. The government had issued a warning that the end was near, and that everyone should prepare for the worst.

As the days went by, the sun continued to flicker, growing weaker and weaker until it finally went out completely. The world was plunged into darkness, and the only light came from fires and candles.

People huddled together for warmth, trying to make the best of the situation. They told stories and sang songs to keep their spirits up, but everyone knew that it was only a matter of time before the end came.

One day, a young girl named Lily was out gathering firewood when she heard a strange noise coming from the woods. She cautiously approached the source of the sound and found an old man lying on the ground, clutching a small, glowing object.

"Please help me," the old man whispered. "This is the last light in the world. I need you to take it to the top of the mountain and light a new fire, or the world will be lost forever."

Lily hesitated for a moment, but she knew that this was her chance to do something important. She took the glowing object from the old man and set off towards the mountain.

The journey was long and difficult, but Lily was determined to succeed. She climbed over rocks and through dense forests, never once taking her eyes off the glowing object. She knew that it was the only hope for the world, and she couldn't let it go out.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Lily reached the top of the mountain. She found a flat rock and carefully set the glowing object down. She took a deep breath and struck a match, holding it up to the object.

At first, nothing happened. Lily began to panic, but then she saw a faint glow emanating from the object. She blew on it gently, and the glow grew stronger and brighter.

Lily watched in awe as the object burst into flames, lighting up the entire mountaintop. She felt a surge of hope and joy as she realized that the world had been saved.

As she made her way back down the mountain, Lily heard a sound she hadn't heard in a long time: birds singing. She looked up and saw a small flock of birds flying overhead, their wings golden in the newly restored light.

When she returned to the village, the people there were amazed to see the light shining in the distance. They gathered around Lily, asking her how she had done it.

"It wasn't me," she said. "It was the old man and this object he gave me. It was the last light in the world, and I was lucky enough to be the one to light the new fire."

The people cheered and hugged Lily, grateful that she had saved their world from darkness. From that day on, they lived in the light of the new fire, never forgetting the brave girl who had saved them all.She was a courageous girl that had a mind set to live and save everyone else from the disaster that had occured at that time.
