Oh, how the dark green residential yard grass grows, filling in the bare patches of earth and making the lawn look more cared for.

It is several shades darker than the surrounding grass and clashes with its companions.

It’s also feather-soft to the touch and guards itself against the weeds and moss overrunning the cow grass.

And it is content being in either the shade or bright sunlight, for the seeds are a mix of different types, or so the bag says.

But despite the various hardships of summer, it’s resilient and keeps growing and spreading.

The seeds were thrown in the dirt a while ago, taking root and growing faster than expected, although they demand daily water as grass babies.

New seeds are thrown into more bare spots whenever the mower chops and sucks everything into its bag, leveling both species for a day or two before they continue growing.

But like with any other plant, it is satisfying to witness your hard work pay off and your lawn full and healthy.
