Tim pressed the gun barrel on Ricky’s forehead. He leaned his balaclava-covered face into the mob accountant’s ear. “We’re going to open this safe, take the money and you get to live. Ok?”, he menaced.

I’d be more worried about how long you’re going to live” came the retort.

Flick, flick, flick.

Connor was using his lighter to try to light the gas axe. Tim briefly turned to look at his young accomplice, then back to the wise guy tied to the chair.

By the time your bosses know the money is missing, we’ll be long gone. But they may have some questions for you”, Tim emphasized.

Flick, flick, flick.

Owww” Connor yelled, shaking his hand, and blowing on his fingers, after burning them on the lighter.

Having a spot of trouble young fella?” Ricky asked.

The older robber shouted, “Shut up!” Then looked over to Connor, asking “What’s wrong?

It won’t light”, came the response.

Storming over to the oxyacetylene torch Tim peered at the gauges, turned the valves on both bottles, listened, then breathed deep. With his right hand, he slapped Connor across the back of the head.

Idiot!” Tim admonished “There’s no gas in the bottles, run!
