The misshapen cave walls gave way to orderly piles of cleared rubble as Gregor led him deeper toward the site.
“Amazing they didn’t come back after you left,” Malden said as they entered the remnants of the worker's camp.
“The trick is employing idiots. Trust me, no one but Gregor could find this again.”
Gregor’s torchlight danced on the walls, and Jacob was sure someone watched from the shadows. He kept his holster unlatched.
“Come here.”
After years of traveling through Egypt, Persia, India, and Africa, Jacob Malden laid eyes on the most amazing sight he had yet to behold.
