"I am," Ayaka replied. "I want to know the truth about who I am and where I come from."

"Then you have come to the right place," the old monk said. "But be warned, the truth may be harder to accept than you think."

The old monk then revealed to Ayaka that she was not just a simple village girl, but the reincarnation of a powerful and ancient goddess, who had been sent to protect the village from an ancient evil.
