CHAPTER ONE.

Here I was sitting on our front veranda with my grandson, Buddy and my daughter -in-law Connie. We were watching for anyone who might show up, before the shift started. Most of the other's were already in the bomb shelter. finishing off the last few things that had to be done. My two son's. Bill and Steven, were checking over the greenhouses to make sure nothing was overlooked.

We had the bomb shelter built in 1990, we knew back then that we would need a large one to accommodate all that would be here.

My husband, Tom, left at midnight to get our two daughter's Angel and Dini. They were taken to the city, by the government. The government had taken most of the single women to work for them. None of us parents had any say about them being taken. Only a few had escaped from being taken . Their parents had been warned ahead of time. This we learned too late, the government had taken our daughters already. That was why Tom was determined to bring our girls back home.

I knew something was wrong when Tom and the girls were not here by now. Just as I was thinking this, my eldest son, Steven came up to me and voiced my thoughts. "They should have been here hours ago!" To get Steven's mind off of his father and sister's I asked him " where his brother Bill was?" He replied "Bill was just closing up the back of the house." Steven turned and was looking down the long driveway, when he said in a soft voice, "mom if dad and the girls don't get here by 10:23 a.m., we'll have to get into the shelter and seal it up, we won't be able to wait any longer. I told Steven not to worry because his dad and sisters would be here by then, you just wait and see if I'm not right. Your dad probably had car trouble and had to wait for a service station to open. Steven said he hoped that I was right because if they didn't show up before the shift, then Bill would go out looking for them as soon as the shift ended. We knew what Leonard had told us about how it was going to be once the shift ended, we were warned that there would be strangers and the military trying to take everything that we had worked for.

I knew that Steven was right and I also knew that he wouldn't be able to do what had to be done. I told him he was worrying about this problem too soon, let's just wait and see what happens.

Tom and I knew that this would happen and we decided not to tell the kids. When Leonard had first told me that Tom and the girls would be in the southwest when the shift took place, but they would survive, that's when we decided not to tell them. We knew that our son Bill , would have insisted on going with his father to get his sisters. We could not have this as Leonard had told me that it would be Bill who would protect us, until Tom returned.

I started thinking back to when this first started, way back in 1977 almost forty-five years ago with a phone call from my mother. Tom never really believed anything my mother talked about, she would always talk about supernatural things and Tom was just a non believer back then. I actually didn't believe in it myself for quite some time. I guess I would say that I was in two frames of mind on the subject. Mom started telling me that she had a guide writing through her and his name was "Seth." I asked mom, " what kind of things did this guide write to her?" She told me that on March 8th 20xx at 10:28 a.m. the earth would shift off it's axis and there would be vast destruction and many deaths and many diseases would start up again. This would be caused by not having many survivors to bury the dead fast enough. I asked her, " do you really believe what you just told me?" That was when she went on to tell me of the six disasters that were to happen before the shift. This would be the proof of what was to come. Shortly after that we ended our conversation and hung up.

A short time later, the first disaster happened, that was when an earthquake hit in Pakistan, that quake killed over five thousand people. the second disaster happened in 1978 and that was the mass murder-suicide in Jonestown, Guyana, the lives lost there was over nine hundred men, women and children. I knew I couldn't ignore what mom had told me. That was two of the six disasters and that was the time that we started to talk about it more, much more. Seth had never told mom the dates when these disasters were to happen , only what they would be and where they would happen.

One day I asked mom how she contacted her guide? Mom told me "everyone has a guide, it's that most people didn't know how to contact them." Once I found out how to contact my guide, I did just that. My guides name is Leonard. I found this out once I contacted him, that was also when I started to understand where my mother was coming from.

In 1986, mom called to tell me that her guide had given her a set of numbers and she was to buy a lottery ticket with those numbers. I told her my guide also gave me a set of numbers and had told me to do the same thing. We decided not to tell each other until the next day after the draw. I told mom I would call her the next morning, then we could compare the numbers. Mom agreed and we hung up.

That evening after the draw my husband came into the kitchen and asked me " did you check out our ticket?" I replied " I was too busy to check it right now but not to worry because we won. He stood there looking at me with a puzzled look on his face and asked me "how did I know we won if I didn't check out the ticket." That's when I told him about Leonard giving me the set of numbers to play on the lottery. Then Tom said to me " if you know we won , then you should be able to tell me how much we won?" I looked at Tom and asked " how much was the jackpot?" When he told me, I looked right into his eyes and said " I guess we're millionaires because we won the jackpot." At that Tom said, well if your going to dream, dream big because it doesn't cost anymore." I told him to check out our ticket and see for yourself. After five minutes I walked over to where he was sitting and shook him and asked " are you alright?" He looked up at me with such a stunned expression on his face and said " hon, you're right, we did win the jackpot." I put my arms around his neck and said " hon I know that you don't believe in the supernatural, but you have to admit, there has to be something in it for this to happen." Tom kissed me tenderly and said " honey, if you want to believe in that stuff, far be it from me to try and change your mind, but I will admit that you and your mom do have something going."

The next day I called mom and asked her what her numbers were, she told me to look in todays newspaper, on page two and check out the numbers. I told her that I was looking at them right now, that was when she said that were the set of numbers that Seth gave her. I really wasn't surprised and I told her I was given the same set of numbers. She said " I'll see you and Tom at the lottery office in the morning."

About a week later after we claimed our lottery winnings, Leonard wrote to me about a large parcel of land that was for sale near the town of Sunny-view. He also told me this would be a safe place when the shift happened. I talked this over with Tom and we decided to contact the real estate agent and go and check it out.

Three days later we were on our way up to Sunny-view. The drive up there was very pleasant, there were rolling hills and a lot of forest which had Scotch Pines and Douglas Firs to name just a couple, but there were many kinds of evergreens as well.

What I liked the most, was that we were going uphill, which meant when the shift did happen, we would be on high ground. As soon as I mentioned this to Tom, he shook his head in a yes motion and knew what I was thinking even before I mentioned it. Remember what Leonard had said, there would be water where land is and land where water was.

Sunny-view itself was a nice size town with eight thousand residents. There was a Wal-Mart, Food City, Canadian Tire, Burger King, Taco Bell, TD Bank, Royal Bank, ,Scotia Bank, Goodman's Sports, Home Hardware, Shoppers Drug Mart, OPP Headquarters and several gas stations along the main street of the town. With just a quick glance as we were driving through, I thought that we would like it up here even before we saw the farm.

As we drove up the long driveway to the farm, we noticed that it was a quarter of a mile long from the highway, which was just what we were looking for. In the front of the property was a line of Maple trees going across the entire front of it. There were also several Oaks and white Birch trees. The house was a barn at one point and time, but the previous owners had converted it into a large, beautiful home. The ceilings were high and they had beams going across them. The living room was very large to accommodate a large family. The dinning room was large enough to seat twenty with ease. The kitchen was what sold me on the house. This room was also quite roomy, with lots of cupboard space, it was large enough to have a walk-in freezer installed, great lighting and a good twenty-five feet in counter space. There was a four piece bathroom on the main floor as well.

The second floor had eight bedrooms and each one was twenty x twenty, a walk-in closet and two large windows and an ensuite bathroom.

The staircase was wide and it reminded me of the one that was in the Bonanza t.v. series. The basement had a sauna, jacuzzi, an exercise room, a game room which had several pinball games which the previous owners had left behind. There was a laundry room as well which was ten x ten and had double sinks.

The previous owner had built a barn, which needed a little work. I stood there looking at the house and the barn and I knew that Leonard was right. I turned to Tom and said " this barn could be converted into a housing complex that would house families. We could make a one story complex to house singles. There's a lot of land for the greenhouses and enough to build living quarters. Tom looked at me with a grin on his face and asked " what do you think of this place?" I told him I had fallen in love with the place as soon as we came up the drive. Tom and I turned to the real estate agent and told him we would take it.

On the drive back home, Tom and I discussed the changes that we would have to do to the property that we just bought. It was during this time when we discussed the subject of Tom and the girls being separated from us until the shift was over. It was at it this time we decided not to tell our kids.

The third disaster happened 1987, a plane was blown up in mid-air. This had taken place in Europe, there were over two hundred lives lost.

In 1987, we started work on the farm to get it ready for use in the near future. By 1991 we had lived on the farm for four years. In that time we had the barn converted into a four story complex that would house sixty families. We erected over two hundred greenhouses, we also brought in a water specialist to install a water purifying system, for the water that we would use.

By 1993 we had built our own windmill to generate our own electricity for heating and lighting of the entire complex. Once this was done we started the planting of vegetables in the greenhouses, we knew that the next disaster would hit in late 1995.

In the latter part of 1995, war was declared on Russia and the United States, North Asia had declared war by sending bombs filled with germs to these two countries. This caused side effects to those who survived, it had killed all crops and many animals. The mixed germs that were sent over had caused many people , who were in the cross-fire, to become mutants.

Canada didn't get involved in the war until this had happened. Once the germ warfare was released, Canada realized that their entry into war was inevitable. This disaster was number four.

The mutants were put into communities that were being monitored. Some of the side effects on the people had caused their bodies to grow and reshape. They looked more ape then human. Their skulls had grown an extra layer of bone across their foreheads, it also made their brains deteriorate.

In 1998, the government stepped in and started taking most of the vegetables that the greenhouses were growing. The government had told all the greenhouse owners that the food was going to the hungry people that were in the city. They left barely enough for the rest of us to live on. When the military started coming for the pick-up of the vegetables, some of the people would hide in the bomb shelter, these were the young girls who didn't want to be taken away from their families. Once the government knew about a young woman between the ages of fifteen to thirty and who were single, they would come and take them into the city. They claimed that they needed the girls for all the office work that had to be done. The government had sent in the military to all the greenhouses, and they erected a ten foot high electric fence with barbed wire on the top around the entire property. We were told that this would protect our property and us.

We were able to hide extra vegetables by telling the military that some seedlings didn't take root. Most of these men knew nothing about growing vegetables.

Everyone was allowed to take up arms for protection. This was a very dangerous time for all of us. This was also the time that we were to wear the surgical outfits. Until the shift ended, anyone who went outside had to wear one of these outfits.

The fifth disaster hit in the early part of 1999. This was when several communities of mutants had escaped from their compounds . The government had called in the military to form search parties, but they couldn't find any of the missing mutants. The mutants were going around killing people for no reason. The government told everyone about the escape and that was when we were told about the mutants brain deteriorating to the point they were less then the animals.

These mutants were classified as being very dangerous. Reports started coming in to the government and military stations about young boys being killed and mutilated. There were reports of young girls and women that had gone missing and nobody knew where they had gone. Many family members thought that they had been taken by the mutants. Several sightings had been reported to the military that the mutants were seen in the area just before someone had gone missing or killed.

The sixth disaster was in July 1999, this was when the great bomb had exploded in Europe. This disaster claimed hundred of thousands of lives.

At this point my two son's came over to me and said it was time to go into the bomb shelter. The time was 10:23 a.m.
