Tom was laying in his hammock, his wife, Doreen was laying beside him. The kids were swimming in the water hole that he had made. It was a warm summer day and they were all just taking it easy and resting up, it was a day off from work, for everyone. They were going to have a picnic later on. They seldom had days like this one, and Tom was enjoying it immensely. He loved to just lay beside his wife and hold her. Tom closed his eyes and was just soaking up the warmth from the day.....

When Bill and his men took their turn-off, and headed northwest, towards Collinswood, he thought that it would be clear going but they only had gone ten miles when they started to hit problems with the debris and fallen trees that covered the highways. This took them most of the day to clear only twenty miles of highway. None of the men could even guess how long it would take them to reach Collinswood. If the entire highways were anything like the highway that they had just cleared then it would take them days to reach their destination. Bill could only hope that highway twenty-six was in better shape.

Once Arlene and the others were away from the cabin, back on the trail that they were following with Quicksilver, Joann told Arlene she was heading back to her sons. Leslie also went with Joann, she wanted to get back to Pennyworth with her daughter, Stacy, to check on her parents. Just before they went their separate ways, Arlene asked them to let her husband know where she had taken their daughters.

Leonard had told Doreen that everyone was to remain inside the shelter for one hour once the shift stopped. They were in the shelter for five minutes when they felt the ground start to shake. The shaking lasted for about one hour, after that everything when still. Bill wanted to go out and check things out, but Doreen told him they were going to wait another hour.

Lieutenant Phillips was starting to grow a little impatient waiting for the clearance to come through so that they could take off. He had been sitting here for twenty minutes and he was anxious to be in the air, heading back to Camp Bordman. He was quite pleased with himself, he had just finalized the biggest deal yet. the Brazilians would be eating good, until the next shipment was sent out. They had placed an order for the next two years. Captain Rogers will be surprised by this deal, and Lieutenant Phillips was anxious to see the pleasant look of approval on Captain Rogers face.

Dr. Ron White Made sure that the Burke's had left the hospital without any problems before he signed himself out. He walked out of the hospital and was beside his van by 8:10 a.m.., He had just worked a ten hour shift and he was looking forward to his drive up north to his cabin. His two sons, Dan and Gary would be up there waiting for him. He was going to take the highway over the mountain instead of the more direct route because he found it more relaxing and there was less traffic.
