Stars sparkled up through the forest below, the sun shining in the sky above. Night and day mirroring each other through the crystalline floor as Qwaril Rincer raced between the trees, his bag clutched tightly to his chest. Hoofbeats from dozens of centaurs echoed behind him.

Watching the sun descend towards the horizon, the boy glanced down through the glassy forest floor as the moon rose towards him. As the two celestial orbs touched the horizon, Qwaril took a breath, diving through the crystal floor. Covered in splintered glass he landed in the darkness of the real world.
