Seattle young person Andrew Detmer lived within the shadow of ceaseless anguish. Bullied at school and mishandled by his alcoholic father Richard, Andrew's life was an embroidered artwork of torment and hardship. His mother Karen's fight with cancer encouraged his delicate presence. His comfort came from his cousin, Matt Garetty, a guide of bolster in the midst of the chaos.

Propelled by Casey, Matt's on-and-off sweetheart, Andrew chose to archive his life. He purchased a camera, trusting to make a video journal that would offer a few similarity of control over his turbulent world.

One day, Matt welcomed Andrew to a party, trusting it would offer assistance for him to break out of his shell. Be that as it may, an quarrel caused by Andrew's shooting drove him to take off early. As he meandered outside, well known understudy Steve Montgomery drew nearer him, inquisitive about the expansive gap he and Matt had found within the woods. Interested, Andrew concurred to record their investigation.

The three wandered into the woods, slipping into a puzzling gap. There, they faltered upon a shining crystalline protest. As they drew closer, the protest responded savagely, causing the camera to brief out.Their lives will never be the same.

Within the days after their experience, Andrew, Matt, and Steve found they had created telekinetic capacities. To begin with, they marveled at their newly discovered powers, testing with lively tricks. But things took a darker turn when Andrew, in a fit of outrage, telekinetically pushed a discourteous driver off the street. Steve overseen to spare the man from suffocating, and Matt demanded they set boundaries, especially against utilizing their powers on living creatures.

Their bond extended as they honed their capacities. Steve found they seemed to fly, and the trio envisioned taking off around the world after graduation. Andrew, particularly, fantasized almost going by Tibet.

Steve persuaded Andrew to grandstand his powers in a school capacity. The act astonished their peers, and Andrew lolled in his recently discovered notoriety. At a house party, be that as it may, an inebriated incident driven to mortification, and Steve's endeavors to support Andrew only worsened his temperament.

Back home, Richard found Andrew's camera and, in a fit of seethe, assaulted him. Andrew countered with his powers and fled into the night. An angry storm brewed overhead, and Steve took after Andrew, attempting to calm him. But Andrew's dissatisfaction crested, and in an appalling mishap, he struck Steve with lightning, killing him right away.

At Steve's burial service, Matt went up against Andrew, who denied any duty. Guilt-ridden, Andrew afterward asked for pardoning at Steve's grave.

After the occurrence, Andrew got to be an outsider once more. His outrage putrefied, and he started to see himself as a summit predator, rationalizing his activities as legitimate. Frantic to manage his mother's therapeutic treatment, he wore his father's firefighter equipment and utilized his powers to victimize a group and a gas station. The burglary finished in an explosion, landing Andrew within the clinic and beneath police care.

Richard, troubled and faulting Andrew for Karen's passing, endeavored to strike him as he lay oblivious. But Andrew got up, detonating with seethe and blowing out the clinic room divider.

Matt, encountering an extreme nosebleed, realized Andrew was in inconvenience. Seeing a news caution around a secretive blast downtown, he surged to the hospital with Casey. They found Andrew unleashing his wrath upon the city, blinded by outrage and uninformed of the hurt he was causing.

Matt went up against Andrew in a sensational fight that wreaked havoc across downtown Seattle. They clashed through buildings and vehicles, eventually landing at the Space Needle. Matt attempted to reason with Andrew, but his cousin was as well distant, devoured by his seethe and power. In a frantic move to secure others, Matt speared Andrew with a statue's stick, finishing the chaos.

At some point afterward, Matt found himself in Tibet with Andrew's camera. He shot a last video, apologizing to Andrew and vowing to utilize his powers for great. He guaranteed to reveal the truth around their capacities and make corrections for the ruin they had wreaked. As he pointed the camera at a distant Tibetan monastery, he took flight, clearing out the camera—and his past—behind.
