In the summer of 1995, British newlyweds Paul and Laura, led by a guide, went on an adventure into the tropical jungle of Bangkok.

That night, they were awakened by the roar of the tiger. Everyone quietly hid behind a banyan tree. Unexpectedly, it was discovered by the tiger, and it quickly jumped towards the banyan tree... Suddenly there was a "rumbling" sound, and the tiger heard the sound, turned and disappeared into the darkness.

At this time, three elephants came. The "rumbling" sound just now turned out to be the elephants hitting the ground with their feet, and they saved them. The guide said that these elephants are blind elephants. After they lose their value or make their owners angry, the locals will blind them and abandon them in the jungle. Seeing the tragic fate of the elephants who rescued them, Paul resolutely decided to quit his job as a music professor at the university and stay in Bangkok for a long time to change the fate of the blind elephants. Seeing that Paul had made up his mind, his wife had to agree.

Afterwards, Paul leased a large forest in the mountains north of Bangkok and built a "shelter for blind elephants".

One day, he saw a group of blind elephants, but as soon as they approached, they were overturned by a blind elephant. They hate people. When he got home, he turned on the radio to listen to world famous songs. Half an hour later, Paul found five or six elephants gathered around the house, and they were staying quietly. For the next few days, Paul played the music every day, and the elephants came to enjoy it every day. Whenever piano music was played, more elephants came to enjoy it than usual. The number of blind elephants in the shelter increased day by day.

Later, Paul asked his wife to mail the piano at home. Every day, he personally played the famous piano songs for the blind elephants, so that they could live a comfortable life. Paul shared what happened with his wife in London. Finally, Laura also quit her job and came to Bangkok to take care of the blind elephant with Paul. One day, Paul was walking on the road when he heard a loud bang, a house collapsed, and someone shouted "Help! Help!" The blind elephant outside the house was indifferent. Paul turned on the player he brought with him to play piano music. The blind elephant was very peaceful after a while, and a few more blind elephants ran. They then worked together to rescue the trapped homeowners.

It turned out that a female elephant named Giorgia had an unfortunate miscarriage not long ago due to dragging heavy wood. Giorgia started to strike, and the owner hit it with a slingshot, and it swung its owner by the nose. The owner was so angry that he shot it blind with a slingshot and forced it to continue working. On this day, Giorgia overturned a side room, the house collapsed, and the owner was pinned down below. When the owner was rescued by the blind elephant, he was deeply shocked and expressed that he would treat the blind elephant Giorgia kindly in the future.

In order to allow more people to protect blind elephants, the couple held an "Elephant Music Festival" in front of the wooden house where they lived. The story of Paul and his wife's selfless protection of blind elephants for 16 years was quickly spread all over the world by the media, moving countless people, and the locals no longer pierced the eyes of elephants.

Today, Paul and his wife Laura remain in Bangkok. As always, Paul plays affectionately in the dense grass, bringing loving comfort and warmth to the out-of-favor blind elephant.
