“Gods, please help her! Don’t black out, baby!” Shawn pleaded, cradling his injured love and pouring all of his healing energy into her.
Shawn had been two steps too late to stop the sword from being thrust into her stomach. He’d made quick work of the attacker and was now feverishly healing the princess, rightful heir to the castle, and the love of his life.
She stirred as the battle sounds died down. Their forces had won. The attempted coup had been thwarted. Now the only thing to decide was if Cassie’s cousin lived or died.

The Orb
Snow crunched under Aiden’s feet as he struggled ahead. Winter blew in with force months ago, after something had fallen from space. He approached a crater with a shiny orb in its center. The orb appeared to be glowing red, as if it had absorbed the heat from the land. When he approached, the orb shot into the air, then disappeared into the sky. Once it left, there was a noticeable change in the temperature. Aiden, having completed his task, set off back towards his home to share his story and wonder about the orb.
