The Awakening of Dave

Sci-Fi

By Benjamin DavenportPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

Dave was a 21 year old man that was on his last semester of college. His major was dance and he was not the best at it sadly. Everyday after class he would practice as much as he could. He had been doing that for the past 4 years. His frustration was growing and he was contemplating on giving it up when a freshman named Reyna joined the class and her dance moves were outstanding. Dave decided to ask her what her secret was but she said it was not her secret to tell but hinted that he could follow her after class and find out. So after their class ended Reyna took off running whilst doing all manners of parkour. Dave was amazed but didn't want to lose her so he imitated her as best he could. She stopped outside of a warehouse and then disappeared inside. Dave followed her inside but right as he got inside he was hit from behind. As he passed out he saw a green light head straight for his head. When he came to he saw 2 other people as well as Reyna. He was told that they were androids that were searching for a human to join their ranks and in return they'd fill his brain with the sickest dance moves. They explained that is what the green light was as he passed out. Dave thought they were pulling his leg so they put on some music and told him to dance. So, Dave got up and danced and he couldn't believe it. He was dancing just like Reyna. Dave wanted to know what he would have to do as part of their group. They explained that they wanted to use their green light on the entire human race but they didn't want anyone to be afraid to get it. So they just want Dave to explain that there is nothing to be afraid. Dave asked why was he hit from behind then. We didn't know who you were and we wanted to protect Reyna but while you were out she explained who you were. After you get the green light there is a sleeping period you must take for all the knowledge to be "downloaded" into your brain. Dave explained that he doesn't know every human but the androids said first he just needs to persuade the other students on campus. Of course I'll be helping said Reyna. So Reyna and Dave left the warehouse to start enlightening the other students. The students were a bit hesitant even with Reyna asking so Dave decided to improvise and say he found a cool rave that has the sickest music that has its grand opening tomorrow night at 10p. He said he left the flyers at home but he'll go home and get them right quick. He and Reyna went back to the warehouse and explained everything they needed. The other androids: Derek and Jason took Dave up into their station where they had everything to turn the warehouse into a rave. Dave suggested they recalibrate the green light to make the recipients pass out after getting beamed. So after the warehouse was turned into a rave and the flyers were made Reyna and Dave went back to the campus and passed them out. After they were all passed out they went back to the warehouse and told Derek an Jason they finished. Jason and Derek explained they'd be leaving other androids at this station to manage this nightclub and they'd need Dave to go with them up into their mothership to use the green light over the entire Earth. Dave was confused and said I thought you all were Androids? They said they were but decided to build a ship with their 3D printer to build a ship that would expedite their plans. So Dave got onto their ship with all of them and watched as they used their green light ray on the entire human race. After every single human came to the androids and Dave blasted music and watched as every human danced with some of the dopest moves. The dancing was concluded by 6a in which everyone fell asleep but come 10p they would be wired to dance until 6a once again. Since Dave was the first human to receive he green light into his brain he would live forever to enlighten each generation with the help of the Androids.
