She buries her trembling body against a dark wall, hoping the creature hasn’t seen her. Through shadowy hues, she finds her children hanging precariously in another corner.

Paralysis isn’t an option.

Black and white floor tiles move in frenzied rhythm as the monster presses its ten deformed limbs across their surfaces.

Her kids squirm against the hypnotic chaos.

Now or never.

Adrenaline forces the hydraulic extension of her legs, and she aims a spinneret, shooting a silky tendril towards the egg sac.

The creature's limb finds her hiding spot just as she swings.
