Tarot Generations
A True Tarot Tale With Oblique Strategies
Introduction
This story is generated using drawn Tarot Cards with assistance from Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt's Oblique Strategies. This is unlikely to work because all the text will be driven by the drawn cards. The Oblique Strategies Picks were generated here.
Each chapter will be driven and titled by the drawn Tarot Card and an Oblique Strategies pick. This story has nothing to do with the actual Tarot Card meaning but is drawn as a reading from my Occult Tarot Deck. This is very surreal and may mess with your mind but is almost like trying to put a jigsaw together with pieces from different jigsaws.
There may be magic in here but it also may seem like an unholy mess that means absolutely nothing. To me, it reads as a sort of Card reading but you may feel differently. There is no story here only surreal advice.
I am hoping that it kicks off thoughts in your mind about anything, that is what I am hoping for, but you may think that I have gone mad.
1 - 8 of Swords. FOCALOR - Oblique Strategies Pick - Accept Advice
Kills by drowning and can sink ships. Controls the seas and the winds. Will spare any life by request.
When on the high seas the Focalor should be avoided, the reason is clearly stated above. If you request the Focalor may spare your life but then again he may not.
2: - 2 of Cups O SALLOS - Oblique Strategies Pick - Children -speaking -singing
Causes the love of women to men and of men to women. SALEOS
We must all love each other men and women to men and women and we must love our children and let them sing and speak while we hold each other and kiss.
3: - 8 of Cups YEPAR - Oblique Strategies Pick - Breathe more deeply
Guide of the waters. Can make storms and rough seas. Causes men to die in three days, of putrid wounds.
When you are at sea beware the YEPAR, take your time to prepare and protect yourself from those that would harm you, and of course, breathe more deeply.
4: - 7 of Cups OSE - Oblique Strategies Pick - Don't be frightened to display your talents
Makes one cunning in liberal sciences. Gives true answers on Divine and secret things. Able to turn others into different forms and convince them that the change is real.
The Pick here seems perfect for the test from this card. Show yourself off you are absolutely the best person in the world at being you.
5: - 4 of Wands PURSON - Oblique Strategies Pick - Just carry on
Knows all things hidden. Answers truly about things earthly or Divine.
When you have all the answers and have all the knowledge then you can move forward in leaps and bounds.
6: - Ace of Swords SITRI - Oblique Strategies Pick - Make a blank valuable by putting it in an exquisite frame
Inflames men with women's love and women with men's love. Causes them to show themselves naked if desired. BITRU
You may wish to frame yourself to realise the true value that you have to the world.
7: - 5 of Swords. SABNOCK - Oblique Strategies Pick - Ask people to work against their better judgement
Builds high towers, castles, and cities. Afflicts men for many days with wounds full of rot and maggots. SABNACH
Sometimes people are forced to do things that may cause them great harm. Try to avoid this.
8: - The Hierophant ORIAS - Oblique Strategies Pick - Is it finished?
Teaches astrology, the virtues of the stars and the houses of the planets and how to understand them. Transforms men with dignities. Finds favour with friends and foes.
When you have the secrets of the universe in your hands you may think you are close to the end, but that may be a total falsehood.
Conclusion
This is a totally experimental fiction. It is certainly not literature but I hope it may have led your mind off the beaten path of normality just a little.
You may feel I have gone mad because I have written this but it is a little like David Bowie's cut-up lyric technique. I can assure you going forwards my stories will be a little more conventional.
