I Wish She Was Still Here
“She’s Dead”. That’s all I can remember from that day. The day my childhood best friend had killed herself. I can remember the date April 23, 1994, but I can’t remember what happened after the phone call. I’m not sure who called my mother, but she had been notified. And she had flown in from our home in Alabama to Vassar. I can’t remember her picking me up or even the plane ride that took us back home that night. Yet here I am. Back in my childhood bedroom just a few weeks shy of spring break. I need to let my professor know that I’m gone but even that thought takes up too much energy. It’s fine I thought lying back down I’ll deal with it later.

“I had a really fun time tonight. Thank you.” Jasmine smiled up at Theo as they stood under her front porch. She’d been fine to walk it home from the retail park, but he'd insisted in accompaning her home even though he would have to walk in the complete opposite direction after.

Return to Duskwood: Part One
You stand near the entrance of the Aurora Bar, waiting for the arrival of your friends. It’s been several months since the group managed to free Hannah and save Richy, from the man without a face. You shiver and run your hands over your arms to stay warm. Jake had been missing for the duration of the time between now, and then, so you were shocked when he asked you all to meet with him. You’d worn your best outfit, something you kept locked away for special trips out with friends, and rarely worn. An off-the-shoulder, bodycon dress, that gripped tightly to your every curve, in a dark midnight blue, with a flowing offset sleeve on one side. The hem of the skirt clung several inches above each knee, sliding around on your thighs. Your heels pushed your height to new levels, and your hair fell over your shoulders. You’d been preparing for this day for the past six months.
Duskwood: My AI Part Two
He doesn’t notice me approaching, so I clear my throat to alert him. His head snaps up as he slides his phone into his pocket. Just as he does, my phone chimes. I decide not to check it, which might have been a mistake. I’d have caught on to what was happening much quicker if I had. Maybe? I might have overlooked the signs even as they stared me in the face. Literally.
When Jisoo met her crush
It was a normal day for Jihoon, as normal as anything could be, he woke up at seven in the morning and had to leave home by eleven in order to make it on time to school. He didn’t have much of anything to do in the house besides cleaning things and cooking food; which was all he ever did. So while his parents were out he was stuck doing his own thing, he took care of the dog that was in their yard until eight, so he wasn’t too tired when he went inside and started making dinner. That all changed though when he heard footsteps approaching outside their house. When the door swung open he couldn’t believe what his eyes were seeing, there stood Jinyoung in his kitchen, a bright smile on his face. “Hey, I made breakfast! Hope you like eggs.” The man said before handing him a plate with two pieces of toast on it. Jihoon blinked slowly, then looked back at him again, still not believing what he was seeing. He was about to ask who this guy was but before he could he felt a small tug at the hem of his shirt. “You must be Jihoon. It’s nice to meet you.” Jisoo smiled brightly, reaching his hand out to shake. Jihoon stared at her hand for a few moments, taking a moment to process everything that was going on, then he reached out and shook her hand. “Ya, why are your hands so dirty? Why are you wearing the same clothes every day? And why are you standing in my doorway? Did you break into our house?” Jihoon asked as he walked over to the sink and washed his hands. “No, no, I came here yesterday. My mom told me where to go. I promise I didn’t break in. I was just running errands and I forgot my phone because it ran out of battery. You see my dad is in the hospital and we can’t get the number of his room number or even where exactly the hospital is, so my mom sent me here to ask your mom for help. I’m sorry if I worried you. I hope you don’t mind, I also made some breakfast. I hope you like eggs and toast, I thought you might need something to eat after that run. Sorry if the meal is a little messy but I only managed to cook it because the kitchen was already clean and well stocked.” Jisoo said sheepishly as she sat down on the couch beside Jihoon.

“Maybe she’s too good for us.” “She has a name.” “What was it again?” “…just stay, stay away from me.” “It’s kinda hard to do when we’re playing the same game.”
She had me Googling
She had me googling ‘How to not Fall in Love,’ and shit. I wasn’t supposed to be in love with her. I am a Catholic girl, christened and everything. From preschool I was taught how girls should go with boys and boys should go with girls (unless you’re a priest, but that’s a different story).
This morning was just like any other morning, completely boring. I had woken up to the sound of my alarm ringing and I of course just let it. I had no intention of moving out of my bed at all. It was Saturday anyways it wasn't like I had anywhere to be that day. Staying in bed and doing nothing sounded pretty good to me. I know eventually I would have to crawl out of bed and head downstairs for food, but that could wait. So with my alarm still going off I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. And that was when I heard it, the soft click of my door opening and the pitter patter of feet walking across my room. The next thing I know is that my alarm has been silenced. Then the sound of someone walking back out of my room and closing the door behind them. Now that the room was quiet falling back to sleep was super easy.
The Colorful Flag With A White Knight
Sun started to glimmer through the branches in the forest revealing a small humble cottage where a gypsy peacefully slept. Underneath the covers Nekaltumo Baltas’ innocence was protected with bedtime attire that reflected her lifestyle.
The Crucible (Part 7)
It did not take long before Squirrelhead spilled everything we needed to know to pull off our rescue of Raif and Rylee. They, as we thought, were being kept in the pit in the middle of camp. The new, important information we gathered was that there were only fifteen people in camp currently, because there was a group of five out looking for a teenager who had come into camp and made off with some supplies. He also told us the location of two hidden guard posts and that they were wary of the cheetah leading them away from camp as a distraction like he did before. We would have to rethink that approach this time.
