Battling Guilt Part 4: A Date With Ivan
Petra felt a shit-storm of nerves brewing inside of her while she was on the phone with Ivan. She shifted the weight on her feet from left to right while occasionally chewing on the fingernail of her right index finger. "What, what could you possibly want from me Ivan? We ended things, remember?" she said in a soft tone, trying desperately to hide her nervousness. Ivan let out a gentle chuckle. "Oh Petra, you know me better than that," he began, "I always finish what I start," he said with a growl.

"Midnight Whispers"
Under the velvet blanket of the midnight sky, where stars gleamed like diamonds, Emily found herself captivated by the allure of a quaint countryside village. The air carried the scent of dew-kissed roses, and a soft breeze rustled through the ancient oaks that stood sentinel along the winding path. With every step, the cobblestone streets whispered tales of centuries past.

Marcy's Vision
"Ring, Ring", rang the school bell. Some kids sighed, they knew class was about to start and today was testing day. The TACT test was to see if you were ready for the next grade. It was separated into three sections, Math, English, and a writing prompt. Hinesburg Elementary had grades first through sixth grade, and Marcy was in fifth grade moving on to sixth grade after the summer was over. She was talented in Math, knew her fractions and multiplication and division problems well, but she lacked focus in writing. It was something she never found joy in so most of her writing prompts were just a few quick paragraphs that seemed to sometimes go together. A tutor had been helping her to learn her verbs and adjectives, but if she could write the story in a mathematical code that would have been easier and more exciting for her.

She was a wonderful liar...
Once upon a time in the quaint village of Fibber's Hollow, there lived a woman named Penelope Pinstripe. Penelope was not your average villager; she possessed a remarkable talent that set her apart from the rest—she was a wonderful liar. Now, before you start thinking of deceit and mischief, Penelope's fibs were of a different kind. She had an uncanny ability to spin tales so fantastical and absurd that the townsfolk eagerly awaited her daily stories at the village square.

The Trappist Adventure
When I first got the idea for the Trappist adventure, I envisioned it going somewhere farther. While that might still happen at some point, I let the story grow in my head and it reached a place where I was struggling with inspiration. I've read it over a few times, and I like some of my stories; it stopped speaking to me.

Who did this, Julie
It is a very sunny morning, and the sun is smiling sadly at the poor recipients of her hot nature, and it is not Sunday. The birds are not chirping as usual, the trees are swaying slowly, humming to a sad melody, and Mrs Owen does not like how she feels listening to it. Mrs Owen is a woman who enjoys nature and pays attention to her surroundings, yet she feels uneasy today. The air appears dense and hazardous like it has been blessed with a large quantity of nitrogen oxide. Even her bubbly neighbour, Mr Taylor, who is always up early and disturbing the whole neighbourhood by chastising his rebel of a son, Junior, is not doing that today. Mrs Owen has this gut feeling that something is not right. Is this just her instinct playing mind games with her and all these a figment of her imagination? However, she decides to wave it all off and focus on the arrangements for her only daughter Julie’s birthday, and just like every year, there will be a party. Nothing must get in the way of all the planning and merriment for this anticipated day. “Maybe I'm just too excited,” she says.
