Short Story
The Drive to Your Parents' House
As I lay amidst the wreckage, looking towards the love of my life, I wondered what had gone wrong, that we had ended so swiftly. With my hands on the wheel. I'm sure they are my hands. One would know their own hands, wouldn't one? The scent of fresh grass cuttings, hot rubber from the tyres and petrol, blood, sweat and the bergamot and orange blossom of your Gucci Bamboo fill my lungs.

Moonlit night on the balcony
**Twilight Night on the Balcony** It was one of those nights when the sky gave off an impression of being painted in a shade of profound naval force blue, the sort that causes you to feel like the universe is enclosing you with a delicate, cool hug. The moon, full and splendid, hung high overhead, projecting a silver shine across the world beneath. The air was fresh yet delicate, conveying with it the weak aroma of jasmine that waited in the yard underneath.

Michiganders Are Mean...
"So there we were and...oh; every restaurant in this town SUCKS! They have, like, NO manners around here! (I was in the Service Industry for, like, one minute of my life by the way, so, yeah, I know how to work it, dammit!) This Michigan is, like, NO Chicago where we happen to BE from! The things and people are SOHHH much better in Chicago; which is why we left home to go on vacation in the first place...Okay, so, take this last place we were at; HOLY JEEPERS! We, like, wanted quarters for the Pool Table and, like, NO ONE would help us! They wouldn't accept our credit card and put a whole bunch of quarters on it! They wouldn't take time away from other customers to download a cash app for US and, like, invest in quarters THAT way! I mean, only POOR people carry actual dollar bills to exchange for quarters the way that it, naturally, WORKS best! I mean, YOU'RE the peasants from the small harbor town, WE'RE the big city folks; you are SUPPOSED to just be BEGGING us to hand you a credit card in exchange for change. You should only NATURALLY take valuable time away from customers actually eating and drinking download a cash app to exchange for quarters! Who are YOU to tell me that there's a convenient ATM right there in the corner? EWWW! Debit cards? Legitimate bills? What are we; POORS or something? I'm not drunk, dammit! So, anyway...HEY, hey, GUY! He's the one! He wanted to be our HERO! He reached for a wallet because, like a broke LOSER, he not only works in the restaurant but carries actual CURRENCY! C'mere! YOU wanted to help us while everyone else SUCKS AT THEIR JOBS! High-Five; I wanna buy you a DRINK!"

THE DECEPTION
In the charming town of Nasuan, secrets mingled with the fragrant aroma of blooming lilacs, drifting through the cobblestone pathways. The Voyage
Only if this storm would stop, Abigale thought to herself. The ship rocked as the night rolled. The waves could be felt, but being under deck, it was too difficult to tell. I did not want The treacherous journey, but this was the key to freedom. Only her prayers as the sailors seem to be slacking on keeping the route without so many storms. So many nights sleeping and others just in the filth of everyone around you. The vomit smell was not even an irritant since everyone was already sick by the first month. The small space and staying under was dark with the escarpments in pots. In better weather, the unfortunate sailor would throw them into the ocean. This day was supposed to be when I would have some fresh air on the deck, but the lightning started. I came to see a new world and not be bogged down by the lack of freedom of the old. Yet the trip has moans and groans. The small space down here has been quite a feat. The cramps and the weather could have been so much better.
