On the streets of... #11
Since Molly and I had agreed to meet in a pub, there was no dress code. I opted for a pair of dark blue jeans, a black shirt and my old leather jacket. It was my grandfather's back in the day. When he arrived from Poland he had nothing but an old journal in his pocket, his wand, a pack of cigarettes and this jacket. The old man was hardcore. He died a few years back when I was in the Academy.

Love Yourself Like That
I was always told, "If you don't fix your face, a bird's gonna come shit on your lip!" That was my mom's side of the family, being funny, but not just "haha" funny. They would be on your ass when you got in trouble, and then start feeling bad and want to lighten the tension by using sarcasm. They'd say some shit like that and I couldn't help but smile. That's a kind of love. It teaches compassion, because you didn't have to be serious about life all the time, but you do need to know when to stop playing around and get your shit together.

The World Beyond the Window
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. Since the first time she noticed that fact when walking by one day, she had been unable to focus her mind on much else for any period of time. She instinctively knew she needed to be united with the world that lay beyond the window.

Take My Hand pt 1
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through his window. It was after all his window. The two of them shared one room but he was the larger of the two, he was who they were ready to receive into their world, and she wondered if they even knew she was there. It was his window in his room. She felt as dissociative inside as she felt to their outside, she was just lucky enough that he stopped absorbing her before she had to wait in line for a new room with a new window to look through, maybe next time one of her own.

The Off Switch
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. Kedi occasionally stared half-heartedly out of it, but nothing ever changed: a flat, wide, green path spread out before her, hemmed on either side by squat, square buildings that she supposed resembled her own. People were rarely to be seen, which is to say that she had seen one, once, so she could no longer say never. If the staff of the compound needed to move around, they used the tunnels - apparently. Kedi never needed to move around.

Greek
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. It was one of many rooms in House Olympus: Zeus’ mansion. It was situated atop the highest peak in the land, surpassing even Poseidon's lighthouse. While she assumed most housed his servants and offspring, this room was utterly bizarre.

The View
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse through the window in his room. She had never really known what the outside world was like. The war had been over for twelve years now. She was only six months old when the first nuclear weapon was fired at a city in the far eastern part of Europe. After that, it seems every nation, tribe, religious or political group used it as an excuse to settle old scores or debts they felt were owed to them.
