R U OKAY? Just like any other day, lifeless and boring, what do I expect to come? I surround myself with people who don’t even know the thoughts in my head. I posted one day, I was down and out, sad about the life I have. How could I be sad when everything I ever wanted is right in the palm of my hands. That’s when you came, an angel sent down from the heavens, you told me you understood the pain. How life could never be the same, once you finally decide to change. I was surrounded by women, money, drugs and people who didn’t want the best for me. When I met you, it was too good to be true, you sprinkled hope and faith that there is someone up above really listening to me. I would waver in my beliefs, wanting a reality full of peace yet all I was surrounded by was chaos, but YOU., you were my peace, you are my peace. A stormy day or days I feel I have no meaning, you remind me of all the things I outgrew. You supported me even when you knew that, that wasn’t where I was suppose to be, my heart desires were never aligned with the ones I called my brothers, my friends, my family. When I needed them, they encouraged me to do things I said I would never do, but to fit in I became a version of me I didn’t want to. With you, you made me realize, the people I have around me are not here for me but to help bring me down. When there was so much noise and I couldn’t think, you taught me how to go to a quiet place and find my niche, because of you I’m okay. You are an angel that i’ve been blessed with to see my wrongs and make my rights. I will never forget the day when you said to me “things happen for a reason, all things work together for our good and the grace of God, somethings you endure because you must but We have the power to change our lives and the least we can do is try.” I fought the thought of letting go of the past version of me, watching you flourish only made me believe more, that life is what you make it. I do this because you make everything okay.
