The Voodoo shop of Caribbean solstice 🏝️
Summer solstice Caribbean style is not your Momma's solstice. Better break out the sunscreen and air conditioning, which, BTW, most of the Island folks cannot afford to pay the enormous electrical bills for. The lovely tourists may need to keep their cool cars, buses and limos close by.

WHEN THE SUN STAND STILL
In the quaint town of Willowdale, nestled between rolling hills and ancient forests, the summer solstice was once a revered occasion. The townsfolk would gather at the old oak tree, adorned with flowers and ribbons, to perform the ancient ritual of the Sun's Embrace. As the sun reached its zenith, they would join hands, sing, and dance to honor the longest day of the year. But as time passed, the ritual was forgotten, and the town became like any other. However, on the 150th anniversary of the last Sun's Embrace, a group of curious residents stumbled upon an ancient text hidden within the town's archives. The dusty manuscript described the ritual's significance and its potential to unlock the solstice's hidden power. Intrigued, the group decided to revive the Sun's Embrace, hoping to rekindle the town's connection with nature and its heritage. They spent weeks preparing, rehearsing the ancient songs and dances, and adorning the old oak tree with flowers and ribbons once more. As the summer solstice arrived, the townsfolk gathered at the old oak, their faces filled with excitement and curiosity. They joined hands, sang, and danced as the sun reached its peak. Suddenly, a strange, pulsating light enveloped the gathering, and the air was filled with an otherworldly energy. The ritual had unlocked the solstice's hidden power! The town was bathed in a warm, golden glow, and the skies turned a deep shade of blue. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers, and the sound of soft, ethereal music. As the days passed, the townsfolk noticed remarkable changes. The crops grew stronger and faster, the rivers ran clearer, and the forests seemed to whisper ancient secrets to those who listened. The town was transformed, and the revival of the Sun's Embrace had become a beacon of hope and magic. People from neighboring towns and cities began to visit Willowdale, drawn by the rumors of its transformation. They too, felt the solstice's power, and soon, the town became a hub of cultural and spiritual revival. The summer solstice had unlocked more than just an ancient ritual; it had awakened a sense of community, connection, and wonder. As the townsfolk looked up at the sun, now shining brighter than ever, they knew that they had tapped into something much greater than themselves – the magic of the longest day of the year.

The Empty Prison
The birds chirped. The sun shone. The wind blew. Even the frogs made the weird little ribbit sounds they made. Jeremy thought he could see an alligator walking between the trees in the woods, so that made him increasingly impatient about getting inside the facility. He already spent like a solid 20 minutes waiting in his car for the gate to open, and not only did nobody accept his calls, there wasn’t even a person in the guard booth for him to talk to. He was seriously contemplating just going inside that booth and opening the damn thing himself. Jeremy Nealson was a fairly busy detective with a lot going on right now. Okay, he didn’t really have anything going on, and this was the only case that the office had available, but there were definitely better ways of spending his time than just pointlessly waiting on others.
