Fight of the Phoenix
Good morning everyone. It’s 7:15 a.m. in Newark, New Jersey and the date is September 11th, 2001. I’m on my way to Newark Airport so I can catch my flight to the Bay Area of sunny California. I love the west coast. I wish I was going for vacation, but this time it’s for business. I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to take my wife and kids out there sometime in the next year, we’ve all been planning on it for a long time. So I arrive the airport and not surprisingly it’s just as busy as it’s always been, but it doesn’t take long for me to get my tickets and get to my terminal. Looks like I’m first in flight on United Airlines flight 93, nonstop from Newark to San Francisco.

Will Harrison looked around the grounds of old estate. It had been - what? Two decades? Twenty-four years since he had last taken his leave? The grouse still called and drummed from the copses of trees nearby, but the landscaping had not been well-maintained and the brush was overgrown. However the brick façade upon which he had insisted, with its double layer of graceful columns, still cast its spell, speaking of power and privilege just like the aristocratic homes of his native Virginia.

The Love Kingdom: Paradise on Earth
The civilizations in ancient West Africa before the arrival of the Transatlantic slave trade can be described as “Heaven on Earth,” “The Envy of the World,” and “Paradise on Earth.” The continent of Africa or Alkebu-lan as it was known during the ancient world was the “land of the Spirit People” and the “land of the God’s.” One of the most prosperous kingdoms located in the aqua tropical and lush rain forests of present-day Southwest Nigeria was the Love Kingdom, founded by the supernatural, intellectual, creative, spiritual, and compassionate Yoruba (ethnic group or tribe) people. From a bird’s eye view, the Love Kingdom was like Southwest Nigeria, Tanzania’s island of Zanzibar in East Africa, and South Asia’s island nation of Sri Lanka combined.

I’ve been a Petty Officer here at the Pentagon for sometime now and I love my work in the military right here at our nation’s capital. I love my homeland and everyone in it and I love knowing that I’m doing my part in not only defending my country but other nations around the globe as well. As I walk inside I’m greeted by my fellow military personnel and they are just ready for the day as I am.
