Night of the Shrouded Curse
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. There weren't always dragon tamers riders, or Magik Users either. In Eldpriire, it was usual to see werepeople, vampires, and the other "freaky" outsiders. However, there were no dragons. In Eldpriire, if you heard of a dragon, it was likely a rumor. You were born here in the Valley, and you died here in the Valley. It was like there was some curse on us. People couldn't leave, and the only people that could come in was one seemingly every few weeks, maybe once a month, and it was to die.

Hatch
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. But even before they arrived, the Valley was an ugly smear of land, crowded with old bones, choked by older curses. The dragons hadn’t come to the Valley because they found it appealing. They had come purely out of a sense of impending doom.

Dragons
There weren’t always dragons in the valley. During the many long hours Aleina had spent painting the landscape, she had toyed with dozens of possibilities for the denizens of the boulder strewn valley beyond the narrow canyon in the foreground. She had almost settled on harpies when a sudden feeling of recklessness overtook her, and she began to fill the valley with dragons. They hunched among the boulders and jagged rocks, their rough, battle-worn scales blending in with the stone. They perched high on the walls of the canyon, surveying the terrain below like massive gargoyles and unleashing torrents of white-hot fire from their mouths. They dove and wheeled in the blue sky overhead, ridden by strange spindly figures wielding poleaxes and longbows.

Children of the Moon
THERE WEREN'T ALWAYS DRAGONS IN THE VALLEY. In fact, before the summer moon, there wasn't a living soul that had seen one. Tonight, there were two of them. Nawgua could smell their scent on the cool breeze brushing against his face. He could not see them yet from his perch among the full moon cliffs, but they were there and still drawing nearer. He had to warn the clans, but he didn't want to draw the dragons' attention to his.

The Mark of Torin
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. That was what my mother had told me as I lay in her bed, a mere 7 years old. Our village was a tiny one, located right beneath the Valley, where the creatures decided to foster their home. As the story goes, a fallen star descended from the sky into the grassy hillside, giving life to the first of the dragons, Torin.

Taming the Swarm
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. At least not in living memory. For the past age, the Valley had been seeded with the most impossibly vibrant wildflowers—handpicked from the most obscure and inaccessible corners of the world. Nowhere could claim to rival the biodiversity found in the Onora Valley.
