Ascension - Chapter 3
The longer time went on the more restless Izadora became. She felt she was wasting her life in this village. She wanted to know about her mother’s people. She wanted to know who her true father was. She was excited at the idea of leaving home, but also scared. She worried for her aunt and uncle. What might happen to them without her or if the villagers discovered her identity as a half-elf. That wouldn’t matter to them, they would only see elf and they would hate her. She had heard some of the hateful things said about elf-kind. She wondered how her mother had dealt with it. It hadn’t really affected her before. She thought it was small-minded pettiness, but it had not hit her in such a personal way until now. Stepping into the butcher shop for some venison steaks she noticed Widow Willowsmith and Madam Teasworth standing near the window gossiping. Izadora didn’t appear to be listening, but she was.

Kyrie and his Flying Beast
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. When I was much younger, my pa put me to sleep with stories of his childhood, before the dragons came. The Valley used to be filled with tall, verdant trees, millions of tiny squirrels and birds, and a wide, winding river where Pa and his buddies fished. He would describe yellow and pink wildflowers so vividly I could almost smell them. He told me once that he had even seen a bear, bumbling along the river’s edge and trying to catch fish. My older sister chuckled as he told me that story, later informing me that our grandfather was an ardent story teller and that he was doing just that: telling stories.

Temerity
This biography can be found on the book jacket of many tomes found throughout the Library of Lore. Though Temerity may struggle to carry but the simplest of tunes, few weave words as wonderfully as she. She has travelled far and wide, telling treasured tales of peasants and paupers as often as of adventurers and aristocrats. For this she was welcomed warmly when she showed up at the Library of Lore seeking to master the magic of musings and music. In just a few short years she has done much to further our cause, by adding her own stories to the bardic collective and by breathing new life into the ones she's learned from us here.

The Time of Fire
“There weren't always dragons in the Valley. Thatched roofed villages and trees once dotted the hills. Merchants and their horse drawn carriages busied the roads that connected the sprawling towns. The merchants’ carts used to be filled with every kind of vegetable and fruit. Walking along on the main road, while not dodging trotting horses, you could take a deep breath and taste lavender and honey before you ever reached the next towns tavern. Beautiful women would be washing gowns and trousers by the river, and if you were lucky, maybe one could get a glimpse of tenuous bathers splashing around, the sound of water complimenting the singing birds in early August. I remember all this.”

Natural Magic Chapter 8
Read Chapter 7 Here Listen to This Chapter Here Breakfast the next morning consisted of more traditional Nefralean foods, namely a type of porridge made from rice and topped with shredded coconut, alongside a variety of fruits. When Tilli and Key arrived in the cafeteria, Ayan and Miriam waved to them. Key paused, but Mat arrived a moment later, his crutch in one hand and his tray in the other, making a beeline for the table. Key sighed and followed her brother. Tilli saw that Mat's clothes looked pressed, but his face had the same look Tilli got whenever she transported from Agrona to Nefrale. "Trouble sleeping?"
