Sacrifice
The afterglow of lights on buildings, billboards and busy streets faded away making room for a majestic sunrise of crimson and orange. Passengers of the Sin City Express gathered together to witness history. At six A.M. the train would exit Vegas entering the desert. A short time later I would attempt to break the record for the fastest passenger train in the world.

Navis
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. A space completely devoid of all matter. Matter is what makes up the universe. I lived on a space station 300,000 km away from Earth. Life on the planet as we had known it had ended over fifty years ago. There were about 400 human survivors currently on board with no real end in sight. I had been born on the ship almost twenty-five years ago. Earth had been completely demolished in a nuclear apocalyptic war that destoyed everything.

Pets
The pets were wondering why they were being called. Their parents were grouchy today. They were that way most of the time. Although they did not mind it. Cats and dogs would play together. Even if they did not want to. Even if their owners' did not want them to. It would be done anyways. And they would play for a very long time. They did not listen to their parents, which is a sad thing, most definiatly. I'm not sure that is the way you spell it or not, but it looks good.

THE TRAIN
THE TRAIN "The world is eclipsed in black; I feel a swerve, I hear a crash, I awake." A man shoots up from a long dreary, one that left him drenched in his panic. The man is an African American man left somewhere in his young to mid-twenties. His hair is cut short on all sides, accompanied by his plain white shirt, black jeans, and white shoes.

Wings
Ivan looked up at the ceiling fan, trying to focus on the white blades spinning around and around in a somewhat lazy fashion. The cool air just reached his face on the floor. Its sweet caress a welcome break from the heat of his own body. He had and hadn’t expected this. When he hit puberty, his family explained the process in fine detail, but even the elaborate visual pictures his grandmother had spun could not prepare him for the pain.

The Eyes of my Beholder
I paced back and forth on my bedroom floor, waiting for my father. I knew what he had decided, even though he lied about actually having to think about it. I’m the one who will have to endure everyday for the rest of my life, so I should be the one to decide who I should endure it with.

Dragon 2: Pupil of the Mourner
"Go to hell!" The man bellowed low. The Maybach crashed against the black shadow on the guardrail, the man shifted gears to reverse, shifted again, accelerated, and crashed again, then a third time, a fourth time, until the guardrail was broken off, and the gold in the black shadow's eyes dimmed, like a dead lamp that had run out of oil. Even so, he did not make a sound.

Dragon 2: Pupil of the Mourner
Chu Zhang couldn't understand, he thought the man was probably scared and silly, why was his mouth full of nonsense? The Maybach had reached top speed, 275 kilometers per hour, and the needle on the engine tachometer jumped into the dangerous red zone. The man pressed the gas pedal to the floor, gripped the steering wheel, and looked straight ahead, ahead of them there was only mercury-like light, nothing could be seen, they looked like they were running into a silver sea. Pale, palmless hand prints on the windshield, "thud". The shadow slapped the windows on all sides, with such force that it could shatter blast glass.
