Under Purple Clouds
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. They swirled and twirled, their edges tinged with a soft pink that blended seamlessly with the fading light of the sun. The people of the small town below had grown used to this peculiar phenomenon and had even come to look forward to it. They would gather on their balconies, their rooftops, and their streets, watching in awe as the clouds performed their nightly dance.

Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. Waves of green light, like brisk streams in the air, flowed steadily. Someone from a long time ago told him that these soothing Northern Lights were actually the result of a quite violent atmospheric phenomenon: particles from the sun slamming into the atmosphere, sinking into its cracks at the Earth's poles, drowning into an endless sky. He didn't want to remember. He would've seen them if he had looked up before walking into the liquor store—but he stopped looking up a while ago.

Haganto tried to quickly decide what to do next. Alanus was all alone, and would surely die if Haganto didn’t save him. But how? It was hard enough to get to the front gate without getting distracted by the memories, but to also try to find someone in the mist?
