For as long as anyone could remember, the house had been shrouded in mystery and whispers of supernatural phenomena. Some said it was cursed, haunted by the spirits of its former inhabitants who had met untimely ends. Others claimed that it was merely the product of overactive imaginations, a figment of the collective subconscious of the town.
