As he spent his days and nights studying the photographs, Jack realized that he had been living in the past, clinging to the memories of his lost loved ones. He had been so consumed by his grief that he had failed to appreciate the beauty and wonder of the present moment. Determined to move forward and embrace life, Jack decided to create something special to honor the memories of his wife and son. He spent weeks working tirelessly in his woodshop, carving and sanding a beautiful, intricate chest. Finally, the day arrived when Jack placed the old, weathered photographs into the chest and closed the lid.
