Yatsuo Smells like Slavutych
The light was shining through the contemporary painting I have been forced to use as blinds, to cover a single window in my South-facing, bright at four in the morning, wasn’t-designed-for-a-grown-woman room. In fact, it was an office. I was sleeping soundly on the hard pull-out couch that I have been using as a bed for the last four months. I would have continued sleeping if it wasn’t for my mother.

Midnight Witches
ACT I CHAPTER ONE Every night at Midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky, and everyone who had seen the purple clouds wondered why they danced with the blushing sky consecutively. Most people said it was a bad omen; others said it was a sign that world would end, and some thought it was a sign that they would be happy in the land once again. Most people kept their thoughts to themselves and waited for the day they'll find out the valid reasons why the purple clouds danced with the blushing sky.

Dancing purple clouds
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. Alanu had watched it happen every night in her dreams for as far back as she could remember. Soft purple wisps of colour as though someone had pulled a paintbrush through the sky and left soft swirls and lines that danced around each other. She had asked her mother where it was a few times but she never got an answer. She tried asking her grandmother just once and was scolded for it.

Herman
She has been crying for days. I wish she would listen when I tell her it will be okay, but the tears fill her head. I know that I am dying, I have known for a while, but she’s only just realized. I’m not scared, or angry, I just feel sad. Sad for her. I can see her heart is breaking, her eyes say so much, her murmurs and strokes are full of all the wishes she had for us, for our future. I whisper to her, tell her it isn’t goodbye, not really. I have always been with her. Across continents and centuries, we have always found each other. Our souls know one another…maybe that’s why she can’t hear me, our bond goes beyond words. But still, I wish she would stop and hear me.

Coral and the Shapeshifters: A Tale of Friendship and Cooperation
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. It was a sight that Coral looked forward to every day. She would climb up the highest peak of the island to watch the clouds turn into shades of violet, and as the rain poured down, she would laugh and dance under the moonlight. It was on one such night that Coral noticed something strange. As the rain poured down, she saw a bright light emanating from the clouds. She could feel the energy vibrating in the air, and a sense of excitement coursed through her veins.
