Wicked Analysis
The movie starts where the Wizard of Oz ends: the celebration of The Wicked Witch of the West’s death. It starts off with an opening number to introduce the message of the musical, Glinda and the reputation of Elphaba - The Wicked Witch of the West. It’s called No One Mourns the Wicked. It’s personally my favorite song. Elphaba’s green nature is a reflection of the horrible actions of her mom which sets up part of the message. Some dialogue in the middle of the song in a recitative secco sense follows to present the nature vs. nurture debate. “Are people born Wicked? Or do they have Wickedness thrust upon them?” This iconic line says it all. The comments she gets at her birth already show the prejudice that she’ll further receive.

But for Amara, it was a sanctuary.

Ravana: The Legendary King of Lanka
Ravana, a figure steeped in both myth and history, stands as one of the most powerful and complex characters in Hindu mythology. Known primarily as the primary antagonist in the ancient Indian epic, the Ramayana, Ravana is often remembered as a demon king. However, his story is far more nuanced, and he is revered by many as a wise and capable ruler. Ravana's legend is woven into the rich tapestry of South Asian cultural traditions, and his life story continues to captivate imaginations across the world.

THE LAST SPARK
Marlene's hands trembled as she touched the small locket around her neck, a ritual that had become as natural as breathing through her filtration mask. Inside, a curl of her father's gray hair lay pressed against a faded photo—the last Christmas before everything went wrong. She could still smell the pine needles from their contraband tree, and could still hear her father's laugh as he handed her the tiny silver locket. "Something to keep your memories close," he'd said, not knowing how precious memories would soon become.

“Yahoo, come on Sam, you can do it.” The men of the Circle B lined the corral fence to watch the spectacle. They were all hooting, hollering and waiving their hats in approval as young Sam Perry rode upon the back of the meanest, orneriest and rankest horse ever to leave its mark on Circle B soil.

The Green Monster's Ball
If walls could talk, they'd have a tale to tell. When it comes to me, well, expect that voice to have a thick Boston accent. They call me the Green Monster, even though I wasn't always green. I was born in 1912; yeah, I know, I don't look a day over 90, right? I was merely a magnet for ads for 35 years, and then, somebody decided to take down the ads and paint me green. "This wouldn't work," I thought. Yet to this very day...
