Fox Hunt; Chapter 4
We make it another block before our shadow disappears into the crowd. For a second the thought that we should have approached him comes to mind, but I quickly throw it away. No, he would have run. He had been studying us. I doubt it was the last we'd see of him.

The layout drew her towards the tables situated in the center of the building as if being drawn into a loving embrace.

Dragon Breath
"There's a strange scent coming out of this forest." Narpheia said. Gravuss looked doubtfully at his companion. She was quite a beautiful dragon, despite her growing gauntness and sagging eyes. In another life, perhaps Gravuss would have taken her for his mate, but life in its current state held little value in such things.

Penthurax sat enjoying the cool, tranquil evening in his favorite spot, the ruins of the great fortress Artarnir. The fortress was once the stronghold of the Eldermen and was the site of the last great battle between the dragons and the Eldermen. The place always made him feel powerful and confident. He could feel the spirits of his ancestors around him giving him strength and comfort. It was the only place in the lands of men where he could rest safely.
