My StarMan

Introduction

This is for Leslie Writes' "What am I?" Challenge, which you can check out here:

I can't draw, so it had to be simple.

The music is David Bowie's "Star Man"

StarMan

It was night, and then we saw it, floating towards Earth like a huge star, but it had a face and eyes and looked frightened. We watched and wondered what it was, and the children said it was a Starman.

Down it (or he floated) and as it came to Earth, we saw it was paper-thin.

We held the children back, expecting it to land, and then stand up and maybe say hello.

Slowly, it settled on the grass and stayed, unmoving.

We waited.

Then we walked towards it and saw that it was melting.

The StarMan was no more, just a patch of wet grass.

WE then saw that this was just an unusually giant snowflake that fell from somewhere on a hot summer night.
