To falsely transmit the order of the king of Wei, Xin Ling Jun took away Jin Zai's army and offended the king of Wei. He defeated Qin and saved Zhao, which was a great honor for Wei. He planned to return to his position as the minister of Wei as usual. The king of Wei An Xi wanted to hold on to his pride as a king and forbade Lord Xin Ling to return to his country. The King of Wei sent Yan En to invite Lord Xinling.

But King Xinling got angry and said, "The king of Wei has kept me in Zhao for ten years! Now that he was in trouble, he came to me. I won't go!" So he closed the gate and did not see any outsiders. Yan En, the emissary of Wei, had no way to see him. The disciples of Lord Xinling urged him to go back to Wei, or at least meet with Wei's envoy. Xin Ling Jun ignored them. He wrote a notice and hung it at the door. The notice read, "Anyone who informs the king of Wei will be punished by death!" At this, all those gatekeepers stuck out their tongues in fear, and no one dared to speak again. Yan En, the ambassador of Wei, waited for half a month, but he did not even see the shadow of Xinling. King An Xi of Wei repeatedly sent people to remind Yan En, who begged the Duke's retainers to report for him, but those retainers dared not report for him to save their own lives. Yan En was like a cat waiting for a rat, waiting every day in the neighborhood, hoping that when Lord Xinling came out, he would meet him on the road. This rat was smart, he didn't come out at all, so Yan En couldn't do anything at all.

When Yan En saw two guests coming to visit the Prince. He pulled the two guests and did not let go of them, and complained bitterly to them. They said, "You go prepare the carriage and horses, and we will ask the Prince to leave." How could these two men be so sure? How could they be so sure?

It's a bit of a new story. The names of those two men have never been known until now. In Chinese history there are only two of their surnames: one surnamed Mao, called Mao Gong; one surnamed Xue, called Xue Gong. When it comes to their origins, they are quite individual. Mao Gong was a casino owner and Xue Gong was a wine seller. In those days, selling wine and casinos was not only a lowly business but also a bit like a gangster's business. This kind of person is lower than the common people in the eyes of the scholar. The king of Xinling did not care about this. His disciple Hou Sheng was a poor old man, wasn't he? There was also a pig slaughterer, Zhu Hai, who was also in this category. When Lord Xinling met with Duke Mao and Duke Xue, he once sent Zhu Hai to visit them. Their attitude was even bigger than Zhu Hai's attitude towards Lord Xinling. Guess what? They all hid and did not meet with Zhu Hai. Then Lord Xinling put on plain clothes and took Zhu Hai to the wine store himself. They didn't notice who the two customers were. He went up to them and said some words of admiration. They had already met each other, and it was too late to hide, so they invited Lord Xinling and Zhu Hai to sit down and drink together. The four of them ate, drank, talked, and laughed, and they made friends. After that, Xin Ling Jun often went to the wine store to drink, sometimes went to the casino to play, and hung out with Mao Gong and Xue Gong.
