Scorpio: Quest against Deception

Chapter 1

Evan is a police officer and currently serving the Virginia State Police. Once he was a part of a gangster team, known as ‘Scorpion Gang’. His nickname was ‘Scorpio’. Nowadays, even a few of his closest team members calls him by that name. Sometimes at night, he faces nightmares while sleeping. It’s because his past still haunts him in some areas. However, he is serving his duty honestly as a police officer in Virginia. He also receives several recognitions from his department, even though some seniors don’t like him much.

One day, Evan goes to raid a drug mafia’s home. After a heavy shootout, the drug mafia and his men die. They left behind evidence that isn't really instructive. Evan, therefore, carried the proof with him. He tried to extract the messages with the help of his knowledge and abilities. It might take several days, but he finally extracted the messages. It contains a secret plan of a few evil gangsters.

Evan was shocked when he discovered the result. The gangsters are preparing a plan to assassinate Mr. Troy Harris, the Mayor of Richmond.

Chapter 2

The next day, Evan goes to his office and discusses the matter with his department (even with the seniors). However, no one believed him. His seniors made fun of him. Then, he went to a coffee shop where he met his love interest, Julia. She is a journalist. He told her about everything and she supported him. Julia advised Evan to complete this task on his own if his department thinks he isn’t serious.

Evan went home at night and saw his childhood picture. He was recalling his past memories. He used to be a badass person who used to work for the gangsters. However, he moved on and now is an honest officer. The next morning, he went to the Mayor’s political rally before the election with his team as a group of safeguards.

Evan notices a suspicious person. So, he decides to follow him. The suspicious person tries to take a gun out of his pocket. Evan shoots him down in front of a crowd and saves the Mayor.

The crowds were shouting in fear and one of Evan’s closest allies asked him if he was alright or not. Later, the department and the Mayor praised him for his bravery. Troy thanked him for saving his life.

Chapter 3

The next day, Evan enters his police station and tells his department about the gangsters’ plan to assassinate Mr. Troy Harris. However, no one still believed in him. They told him that the person he shot was only a local goon.

Evan meets Julia again who was reporting the incident. Evan tells Julia that he can’t save the Mayor’s life alone. Additionally, he needs more assistance from the department.

Evan: I don’t think I can do this alone. They don’t believe me. Even my closest allies think I am wrong. What should I do?

Julia: Have you contacted your seniors?

Evan: Yeah, they also said my theory was illogical and irrelevant.

Julia: Oh I see.

Julia advised Evan if she could make any report regarding that. Evan replied that if she does then she might receive backlash from her media company.

Julia: If you want, then I can make news regarding that. Just one issue, I have no idea if they will actually believe me or not.

Evan: You don’t have to do that. I don’t want you to face embarrassment because of me.

Julia: Do you have any contact with any other higher authorities?

Evan: No, I don’t know. Why?

Julia: No, I’m just asking. If you know anyone there, you can reach out to them who might assist you.

Julia gives Evan a cheek kiss and says goodnight.

Julia: See you tomorrow.

Evan: Yeah sure.

Evan went to his bed while recalling his past gangster life.

The following morning, he gets out of bed and starts having his breakfast. He is thinking about Julia’s words about higher authority options. Suddenly, Evan gets an idea. He told himself that he might know anyone who is in the higher authorities, such as the FBI.

The person lives in New York, so Evan decides to email him.

Chapter 4

In New York,

Jacob Carter [One of the main supporting essences in “Ladybug: A Mother’s Redemption”] is entering his office. He enters his room and his main assistant Brendan hands him some official files related to work. Suddenly, Jacob receives an email. It was sent by Evan.

Evan sent the email by mentioning his nickname ‘Scorpio’. He wrote that the Mayor of Richmond, Mr. Troy Harris is in danger. Evan sends the entire details to Jacob and asks for assistance in this situation. Jacob asks Brendan to pass the cell phone.

Evan was rescued by Jacob when he was a teenager. However, he didn’t arrest him despite having numerous proofs. It’s because he was against the gangster’s decision to spread illegal trafficking. Later, Evan joined the Virginia State Police and currently serving them with honesty and pure dignity.

Jacob calls someone and asks for sending help. Later, Jacob also contacts Evan. He told him they might send a special FBI officer to look after Mr. Troy Harris. However, Evan has to undertake a journey to find those gangsters who want to assassinate Troy. Jacob will send him assistance if he requires it in the mission. Evan agrees.

In Virginia,

The next day, Evan goes to the Mayor’s house and tells him about the plan. Troy told him that he believed him since he saved him. Huge security is assigned in front of the Mayor’s house. Soon, a guy comes from a car and greets Evan and Troy.

He is Bastion, an FBI officer who was a part of Agatha’s [One of the main characters in “Dragonfly: The Devil’s Deception”] team during the events of “Dragonfly”. At first, Evan didn’t believe it because of his appearance. Later, Bastion shows his ID proofs and other important documents. Bastion also shows that he receives a bravery award after executing an evil gangster, Liam [The main antagonist of “Dragonfly: The Devil’s Deception”].

After assigning Bastion’s duty, Evan sets on an adventure to find out the gangsters who want to assassinate Troy.

Chapter 5

Evan contacts Jacob and asks him if he sends the right person to look after the Mayor’s house. Jacob tells Evan that Bastion is a brave person and not to worry about anything.

For his first mission, Evan goes to Chesapeake, Virginia. At there, he founds Matteo, a gangster. His men start attacking Evan. However, Evan overpowers and kills them. Matteo and Evan get into a combat as well. Evan triumphed again. He is going to ask Matteo about the names who want to assassinate Mr. Troy Harris. In the meantime, despite Evan's best efforts to stop him, Matteo consumes poison and ends his life.

Evan contacts Jacob and tells him about the incident. Evan tells him that he is going to catch Oliver, (a gangster) based on the information he has. So, he goes on his second mission at a bar in Alexandria. There he faces Oliver. He asks him about the information regarding the assassination plan of Troy Harris. Oliver tells him that he doesn’t know anything. Then, one of his men tries to stab Evan. However, he failed.

Evan overpowers all the Oliver’s men and beats Oliver. Later, Oliver reveals that he doesn’t know much, but his mate Patrick and Miguel knows. The police officers arrested Oliver and Evan left the place for his next mission to catch Miguel.

Evan reaches Staunton to catch Miguel. However, it wasn’t easy to visit his den. Miguel’s guards were outside at his palace. Evan somehow tricked and beat them and reached to Miguel. He asks him about the plan they are approaching to assassinate Troy. Miguel only tells him the intention. The gangsters want to kill Troy so that they can peacefully spread their drug business in the city.

Suddenly, Miguel’s men caught Evan, but the police officers responded immediately. A shootout occurs between Miguel’s gang and the police officers. Miguel was going to escape the place, but Evan shot him.

Evan asked Miguel about Patrick’s location. He says that Patrick is in Mexico. Miguel dies.

The next day, Evan goes to see Mayor Troy Harris and tells him that he might not be available during the election results. He is on a mission to catch Patrick. Troy also assures that he will be airtight since Bastion is assigned here as a special guard. Evan smiles and is going to leave. On the way, he meets Bastion and requests him to look after Troy and his family till he returns. Bastion assures that he is committed to his duty and can stay here for a lifetime if required. Evan appreciated his dedication and patted his shoulder.

Evan: Btw, would you mind if I ask you something?

Bastion: Absolutely sir. You can ask me anything and I promise I will give you honest answers.

Evan: Did you really kill the evil gangster Liam with your hands?

Bastion (after looking around): Actually, I just only killed Liam’s men and assisted Agatha madam. It was George and Akash [Two main protagonists of “Dragonfly: The Devil’s Deception”] who actually killed Liam. As they weren’t associated with any legal authorities, they gave me the credit. So, that it could be treated as an official encounter.

Evan: Well. I see.

Bastion: Please don’t tell that to anyone. It’s a secret.

Evan: Don’t worry. I won’t tell anyone. It’s not my cup of tea.

(Both smiles)

Chapter 6

Evan is ready to travel to Mexico to find Patrick, who was his ally when he was associated with the gangster squad, ‘Scorpion Gang’. He successfully reached Patrick’s private resort, but again it was full of danger. So, Evan attempted to trick Patrick’s men but failed. They capture and beat Evan. Later, the gang members bring him to Patrick.

Patrick: I was waiting for you.

Evan: What do you want? Why do you want to assassinate him (Mr. Troy Harris)?

Patrick reveals the same reason as Miguel. Patrick who is in the most wanted list of FBI hides himself in Mexico. After killing Troy, he can establish his illegal business in Virginia. Later, it might spread not only across the USA but the world. However, he also assures that killing him may not be enough to stop the process.

Meanwhile in Virginia, Troy won the election and once again elected as a Mayor. Patrick warns Evan that it is difficult to stop them. However, Evan tells him that he killed Miguel and arrested Oliver. Patrick laughs and tells him that Oliver doesn’t know the big picture.

Patrick: Why you didn’t kill Oliver? To seek information, right?

Patrick laughs.

Patrick: Oliver doesn’t know the bigger picture. I guess, even no one knows, not even you. So, I guess as you learned the truth, you must have to die.

Patrick orders his men to kill Evan. Suddenly; two smoke bombs came out of nowhere. It created a mess. Then two ball grenades came and caused a small explosion. Patrick asks two of his men to see what happened. As soon, as they were going to open the door, another small explosion occurred. It kills those two gang members.

A man came from the door with his gun. It is Akash [The second main protagonist of “Dragonfly: The Devil’s Deception”]. He enters the place and starts to kill Patrick’s men inside. Meanwhile, Jacob sends a few forces who indulge in a gunfight against Patrick’s men. Patrick decides to escape the place with the secret drive. Akash rescues Evan.

Evan: You are George, right?

Akash: No. Actually, I’m Akash. Akash Das. George is my lookalike or I just say I’m his lookalike.

Evan: Okay, I got it.

Akash: Do you know Agatha?

Evan: Yeah, she’s in the FBI and my senior.

Akash: Yeah, I’m her husband. She sends me here to rescue you. Let’s go.

Evan: So you are also in the FBI?

Akash: Actually, part-time. I am a businessman and own a restaurant chain. Currently, I have over 5 restaurants around the world. Thanks to George of course.

Evan: I see.

Akash: Sometimes I also help my wife and also George and Jacob. So, not only FBI, but sometimes I also work for the CIA (Central Intelligence Agencies), DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration), and NCA (National Crime Agency, UK), whenever they need me.

Akash and Evan are on their way to catch Patrick but are stopped by his men. So, they teamed up and overpowered them. They both used rifles and guns to bring them down. However, Patrick is almost on his way to the airport. After killing Patrick’s men in his private resort, Akash and Evan board a car to chase Patrick.

However, the remaining Patrick’s men came in front of them. A rampage started in the streets of Mexico City. After thrashing enemies’ cars, Akash and Evan finally reach the runaway where Patrick is going to board his helicopter.

Akash and Evan decide to stop it, but again a few of Patrick’s men come and stop them. They are almost going to fire. However, Agatha came to the place with her forces and joined the battle. After a huge shootout, Patrick and his men got killed. However, Evan managed to acquire the drive.

Akash and Agatha praised Evan for his bravery. He expressed his gratefulness to the couple for their assistance. Agatha gives a gift to Evan sent by Jacob. Evan takes it and bids goodbye to the couple.

Akash & Agatha: See you soon.

Evan: Yeah, see you guys soon.

Chapter 7

Evan returns to his home Richmond and receives a call from Jacob who congratulates him on his mission. He also informs that he is coming to Virginia, as he is invited by Troy for the Independence Day celebration on 4th July.

After that, Evan calls Julia and asks her for a meet-up. He goes to her home and Julia hugs her. Evan expresses his gratitude to her for continuous support. Julia also thanked him for giving her an interesting topic to cover. Then, they both celebrate the moment over a glass of wine.

After spending a romantic night with his ladylove Julia, Evan goes to his office as usual. He was welcomed by his closest allies and the department. He also receives a special message from Troy asking him to present at the Independence Day celebration.

A Day before the Independence Day, aka 3rd July,

Evan finally extracted the information from the drive he picked from Patrick’s body and started to evaluate them with the existing files. While commencing this process, he finds something strange. So, he decides to go through those files again and again. Finally, he was shocked.

Evan receives a call from Julia who is asking if he is alright or not. She also informs that she is promoted and is going to cover Troy’s interview tomorrow for the celebration of Independence Day. Evan remains silent.

Julia: Hello, Evan. Is everything alright? Or, are you busy? Then, I’ll call you later.

Evan: No. I’m silent because I find something shocking.

Julia: Really? What is it?

Evan: I think I missed something.

Meanwhile, Jacob reaches Virginia with Brendan to attend the celebration tomorrow. He receives a call from Evan. Troy on his way to his office enters his car with higher security. Jacob asks Evan if anything happens. Evan informs him that the danger from Mr. Troy isn’t over and the date of assassination based on Patrick’s’ drive is today on 3rd July.

Jacob: God, damn it. Are you sure?

Evan: Yes, sir, for 100%.

Jacob: But who is going to assassinate him if all the gangsters had died and Oliver is in Jail?

Troy drinks water from his bottle in the car. However, after a few minutes, he started feeling dizzy. Later, he fainted.

After a few hours, Troy wakes up and finds himself tied with ropes in a chair at a factory. A few senior officers at Evan’s department were standing in front of him. He requested them to untie him. However, they started laughing. Evan reaches Troy’s residence where Bastion welcomes him. When he asks him about Troy’s location, he informs him that Troy went to his office. He also tells Evan that Troy gave him gentle instructions to stay here and take care of his family. Even Bastion asked him if he could go with him to ensure more safety, but Troy refused.

Meanwhile at the factory,

The senior officers reveal to Troy that they plan to bring him to the factory. Not only the gangsters, but they are also associated with this process. They also wanted to assassinate him, so they teamed up with those gangsters. As the gangsters are dead (except Oliver who is in jail) they will complete the mission. It’s because they also want to establish drug trafficking in Virginia for money.

Troy tells them (sarcastically) that despite being a gangster in the past, Evan is performing his duty with honesty. However, the officers who are his seniors wearing the uniform and the badges from the beginning don’t know the true value of it. They told him that no one would ever know about his assassination and that it would be declared an accident.

They were going to shoot him, but Evan reached the place with Bastion, Jacob, and Brendan. Evan told them to put down their weapons, but they made fun of him. One of them asks him how he can prove if they are corrupted. Evan told them that he had already sent the files with proofs to Julia via mail after their call. She will telecast it through her news channel. He also said that people already get informed about their deception and dishonesty through social media.

A gun battle occurs. Evan, Bastion, Brendan, and Jacob successfully manage to kill the corrupt police officers and free Troy Harris.

Epilogue: The Rebirth

Finally, the mayor of Virginia, Troy Harris discloses the truth in front of the media. He announces that the city is now free from corrupted legal authorities. He also requests the citizens not to abuse the corrupt officer’s family as the family members weren’t involved with it.

Finally, they celebrated the Independence Day on 4th July.

Not only Julia, but Evan also gets a promotion in his department. They celebrated it while dancing together and sharing a kiss.

As Jacob was making his way home, Evan sent him a text message. It shows that he is impressed with the gift Jacob sent him. Evan also assures him that he will be there if his team needs any assistance in the future.

Jacob smiles and gets into his jet.

Aftermath (Post Scripts)

Akash and George are having their brunch together at a café in New York. Suddenly, they received a call from Jacob.

(Via phone)

George: Hi sir, what’s the matter? In what way I may assist you?

Jacob: Well, it’s quite complicated.

George: Okay, then you can send me an email.

Jacob: Okay, you’re right. I’m forwarding it to you.

George: Alright.

Jacob: Hey Brendan, can you forward the mail to George?

Brendan: Sure sir.

(George receives the mail)

George (shocked): What the Hell!

Akash: What happened bro?

George passes his laptop to Akash. He is also taken aback after viewing the email.

Akash: Holy Shit! No way, no freaking way.

The mail is showing “TRIPLICATE Alert!” (As Subject)

Meanwhile, the email body shows that a man who looks similar or has a similar face as George and Akash has been observed. He was teaching students at the New York University (NYU).
