In the darkness of space flies, a ship with an alien. Its name is Ripar, from the planet Torgof. The alien came across Earth and decided to land to have a look. He loved new planets, seeing other species, and how they live.

Ripar is a shapeshifter so he can change into anything, but it has to be living. He lands his ship in an ocean cave in the hope it wouldn't be found, his species didn’t show their true form unless they knew they were safe. Changing into a fish he swam around, he saw other creatures, some big, some small, some nice, and some not so nice. As he zoomed around the sea, he saw a few huge, mean looking beasts. He changed into one and swam to them, these beasts were sharks. He swam with them a bit, and watched them, they didn’t seem to want to communicate with him so he went off on his own. As he swam, he came across land, but this creature's body couldn’t get around well, flopping around. In the distance he saw a man and his dog, he quickly changed shape into the dog and ran off. He watched them from a distance and the animal looked happy, running around the human, barking. The human threw a ball and the dog happily ran after it, picked it up, and brought it back. The human seemed to love the animal, they both seemed incredibly happy.

As he walked around the big city, people looked at him, some yelled but some were nice and made noises at him that he couldn’t understand yet. As he walked around his translator implant was doing its job trying to figure out the language but with all the noise around it was going slowly.

Ripar came across a fluffy animal, it made strange meow noises. When he tried to go up to the animal it hissed at him and ran away.

He came across some other dogs, they were friendly enough, wagging their tails and sniffing him. They were barking and his translator started to make sense of what they were saying.

“Hey, what's your name” A big brown and black dog said.

“My name is Ripar. What are yours?”

“This is Joey” looking at a little black curly-haired dog. “Hey Dog, nice to meet you”

“And that and Bruiser.” Looking at a big fat dog with a smashed face, he looked ugly but he said “What up.”

“And My name is Doc. Ripar is a weird name, but nice to meet Ya.”

“I never saw you here before, what are you doing out here,” Joey asked

“I’m just visiting, I probably won’t be here long” Ripar answered “This is a nice town, I’ve never seen big buildings like this.”

“This is all we know,” Doc said

“I’m going to take a look around. Talk to you later” Ripar said while walking away.

“Later Dog” Bruiser yelled

“Bye,” Joey said

“If you’re around later come say hello,” Doc said

“Ok, will do” and Ripar walked around the corner.

As he continued his journey a little human pet him “Hi doggie”

The bigger human yelled, “Don’t touch him, you don’t know where he’s been.”

“I guess the translator now knows human language.” Ripar thought.

Ripar sat down to rest a bit and someone came up to him and started massaging his head and back.

“How are you fella, you’re a cute pup” He seemed really nice. “Here you want some food and water?” He went into a bag he was holding and took out something that smelled good and gave him a little. Ripar put it in his mouth and chewed it. It was surprisingly good. Then the human gave him some water he poured into his hand and Ripar drank it.” The man gave him another pat on the head “I have to go to work” and walked off.

It was getting dark, Ripar decided he wanted to change shape, so he went down an alley and changed into a man.

Ripar walked down the street and came across the man that gave him food and water not long ago.

He just walked past him and said “thank you my friend” while patting him on the shoulder.

The man looked at him strangely and confusingly said “you’re welcome for whatever I did.”

Ripar saw people buying things and paying with paper currency or a plastic card that they put in a machine. “Well, I guess I’m not buying anything.”

A man was running toward him with a lady in back of him yelling “Stop him, he stole my purse.”

Ripar stood in front of the man who tried to shove him, but couldn’t, then he tried to punch him only to have his hand bounce off.

“Did you steal that person's purse?” Ripar asked.

“Here, take it, just let me go, mister, I won’t do it again.” the mugger said with a shaky voice.

Ripar let him go but there was a cop behind the robber who stopped him and put cuffs on him. Ripar walked to the woman and gave her the purse back.

“Thank you, young man, let me pay you for your help.” The woman went into her purse and pulled out a paper bill with a 10 on it.

“You’re welcome and thank you,” Ripar said People around him clapping and cheering.

one of the police officers tapped him on the shoulder and said “you should be a cop, you’re a tough one.”

Ripar felt happy he could help the old woman but sad that there were bad people that would steal from someone. There was no crime on Torgof .

“This is an interesting planet. I may have to come back someday but I should leave” Ripar thought.

He walked to the ocean, jumped in, changed into a shark again, and swam to his ship. He got in and flew away. While back in space he called his planet to tell them of Earth and what he had seen. He told them other Torgofians should visit, but they shouldn’t show that they aren’t from Earth, not yet anyway. Maybe someday but for now the people of Earth aren’t ready for aliens.
