Lorde lord Xinling wrote a book, "The Art of War of Wei Gongzi", about his experience in fighting battles.

All the lords came to send him gifts to admire him. King Zhuangxiang of Qin also sent an envoy to befriend Lord Xinling and invited him to visit Qin. But Lord Xinling told King Anxi of Wei about this. King An Xi of Wei was reluctant to ask him to take such a risk. However, King Xinling felt that if he could makeup, he should make up. He first sent Zhu Hai to bring a pair of jade biscuits to Qin to thank him.

When Zhu Hai met King Zhuangxiang, he held a return ceremony and wanted to go back. The king tried to keep him by all sorts of means and said many good things, and wanted to give him an official position. Zhu Hai refused to accept. Meng Qi said to King Zhuang Xiang, "He is the warrior who killed Jin Zai, we have suffered from him. If he won't submit to the king, don't let him go back!" King Zhuangxiang threw Zhu Hai into the tiger pen. The tigers in the circle were about to pounce when they saw someone coming. Zhu Hai shouted, "Bastard, how dare you!" This voice, like a thunderclap, scared the tiger. It fell to the ground, not daring to move. King Zhuangxiang and his men were all frozen. They led him out again. King Zhuangxiang tried to persuade him to surrender. Knowing that he would never return to Wei, Zhu Hai made up his mind and committed suicide.

Zhu Hai's subordinates ran back to Wei and reported that King Zhuangxiang had forced Zhu Hai to die. King Xinling cried bitterly and hated Qin very much. The Qin state sent an envoy again and sent some gifts to Lord Xinling, and a letter. The letter said, "Your son's fame is so great that there is no lord who does not admire you. But I don't know when the king of Wei will give up his throne. We are all waiting for you to take the throne. I would like to present a little gift to show our congratulations to you." Lord Xinling returned all the gifts and showed King Zhuangxiang's letter to King Anxi of Wei, saying to him, "This is a trick of Qin. Let's not fall into their trap!" King An Xi of Wei did not say anything, but he was a little suspicious in his heart. Since ancient times, one of the greatest fears of a king is that someone else will steal his throne. The most common problem of kings is suspicion. King An Xi of Wei was more afraid of Xin Ling Jun than King Zhuang Xiang of Qin! For this reason, King Xinling took a sick leave and returned his seal and military amulets.amidin the midst of suffering. In less than three years, he lost his life (244 BC). The disciples all cried with sadness.

When King Zhuangxiang resigned from his post, King Zhuangxiang ran ahead of him and died of disease (247 BC). Lu Buwei helped the thirteen-year-old boy to take the throne, and he became King Zheng of Qin (later known as Qin Shi Huang). The power of Qin was in the hands of Lu Bu Wei. When he got the letter of resignation from Lord Xinling, he knew that the joint venture was finished again. He sent his generals Meng Qi, Zhang Tang, and Wang Gnaw to attack Zhao, Korea, and Wei one after another, gaining dozens of cities and forcing the vassals to resist by the method of "uniting".

King Huanhui of Han thought of a way to make the Qin state toil and hurt the people so that they would not come back to attack Korea. He sent Zheng Guo [surname Zheng, first name Guo], a water engineer [equivalent to a water engineer], to advise the king of Qin to open the Jing Shui [the two sources in Gansu province, north, and south, which flow into Shaanxi province after the meeting]. The king of Qin and Lu Buwei, not knowing that he had come to harm Qin, fully agreed with his solution and put him in charge of this huge project. He then dug the river from Zhong Shan [in the northwest of Jing Yang County, Shaanxi Province] and cut it eastward altogether to reach Luo Shui. This project was so big that it took a lot of manpower and material resources. When the project was half done, Qin suddenly realized that it had fallen for Korea's trick and wanted to kill the plumber, Zheng. Zheng Guo did not hide and said honestly: "I did this to keep Qin busy digging the river so that Korea can extend its life for a few years. But once this Jing Shui was dug, it would be a great thing for Qin for a thousand years and generations, and the benefits would be inexhaustible." Lu Buwei told him to go on and complete this great project of water conservation. This newly dug river can irrigate more than four million mu of fields. This river canal was called the Zheng Guo Canal. It is said that the average harvest was 6 stone and 4 buckets of grain per mu. Before this (250 BC), King Zhaoxiang of Qin instructed Li Bing, the governor of Shu County, to build a large water conservancy and open up the rice fields. Li Bing built the famous Dujiangyan [in the middle reaches of the Min River, west of the city of Gou County, Sichuan Province] to divide the Min River's rapids into two channels that crossed Chengdu and turned the river into a gentle one. The Dujiangyan not only controlled the rapids of the Min River and prevented flooding, but the two channels irrigated more than one million mu of crops. At this time, the Zhengguo Canal was bigger than the Dujiangyan and irrigated more fields. From then on, Qin was richer and stronger.
