We walked down the large path with no signs of seeing anything for 20 minutes. Then that’s when I saw it. It had to be about 20 feet tall . I was estimating because it seemed to be laying down . It was also covered in what seemed like long black fur . Being right in front of it we could tell . This was the monster that was making all of those sounds . It was only sleeping at the moment . In fact the sound was of it snoring .

Visceroy started walking back slowly and whispered that we should go back and gameplan . We started to tippy toe away and noticed Illdred fall to the ground . Thats when we saw 3 insect warriors running away from him . He must be poisoned ! They ran off to a large group of them blocking our pathway to go back the way we came from . It was about 25 small ones and 25 big ones . They were trying to trap us here with the monster . If we fight too loud we might wake it up!

Rose used her experience with the poison to create a more helpful antidote while we were preparing . She even found a few local plants back when we were prepping that were helpful to her new formula . She had it grounded up in powder in a small jar . She gave Illdred a spoonful of the medicine with some water and he felt fine other than sweating . Meanwhile our crew and the insect soldiers were just having a stare down . As to who would make the next move . Visceroy whispered to us . “ They are watching her heal him . She will be the main target . Be careful and prepare yourselves everyone . Especially you Rose “

Just then about 5 regular insect warriors that no one noticed until now , dropped from the ceiling of the cave falling towards where Rose was located ! Wade smashed 4 of them with his small light shield he was holding with his left hand and sent them flying to the wall splattering . He had his sword sheathed and grabbed the 5th one with right hand at the same time as he smashed the the other 4 . I see what Visceroy meant when he said that these guys were reliable even without powers .Wade carefully handed Rose it’s weapon and told her to keep a few in the jar for antidote purposes . He then looked at the insect and said . “ What’s going on? Why are you attacking us ? “

The insect warrior stared at him . Then it turned its head diagonally , and then bit him in the hand . He muffled a shout as to not be too loud . The insect warrior hopped out of his hand and ran back to his group . Wade let him get away . He washed his hand with water and Rose checked it out . “ It looks just fine “ , she said quietly . The insect warriors started to divide into two groups on each sides of the path . At first I thought that they were trying to bait us into walking or running through , but a 3rd type of insect warrior presented themselves . It was 3 of them dressed like magic shamans and their looks were not deceiving . They were as big as and even looked similar to the bigger warriors but slightly skinnier . The 3 of them had magical staffs that started to cackle with lighting . They held them together and it created a big yellow electric ball that was around 5 feet in diameter . They pointed it at us and launched it .
