Oh, the Holes We Dig!
The legalities of hole digging

Granddad and I always used to dig holes.
“Why we digging granddad?”
I’d ask.
“I told ya son… might hit treasure or somethin’ interesting.”
“Oh…” I kept digging quietly for awhile. “If we find treasure, what do you think you’ll buy?”
“Maybe a new house with a wrap around porch and some rockin’ chairs.”
“That sounds real nice, Granddad!”
We never did find any treasure. When I grew up, I became an attorney. Instead of digging holes in the ground, I dug people out of holes through legal processes. After granddad had died, I bought a house with a wrap around porch. I made sure it had plenty of rocking chairs too. I'll never forget all those holes that I dug with granddad.
