In the evening, Mr. Wolf cooked a large table of dishes, including braised pork in soy sauce, pork rib soup, roast chicken, all meat dishes, except a small plate of Chinese cabbage on the corner of the table.

Little by little, Miss Rabbit got used to living with Mr. Wolf. They ate together. No meat or vegetables could be seen on the table. They watched television together. Mr. Wolf's fur was warm, and Miss Rabbit snuggled up to him. But they did not sleep together. Sometimes Mr. Wolf tried to sneak into Miss Rabbit's room, but Miss Rabbit always kicked him out.

Under the petals was a small box. Miss Rabbit opened the box. Inside was a shiny diamond ring.

"Marry me, dear." Mr. Wolf got down on one knee and proposed.

"But rabbits and wolves can't marry." Miss Rabbit's face ran hot and she hid her face in her hands.

Mr. Wolf paused and suddenly began to SOB.

Mr. Wolf cried and said to her, "Dear, don't be a rabbit, please. You used to love meat, but these months you only eat carrots and cabbage.

"You don't do a rabbit, you do a Wolf, a tiger or a pig."

"Please," he said.

Mr. Wolf cried so hard that he was out of breath, and Miss Rabbit felt her heart beating.
